Pg 30 Sec 123 of HC bill — a Government committee (good luck with that!) will decide what treatments/benefits a person may receive. Pg 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill — YOUR HEALTHCARE WILL BE RATIONED! Pg 42 of HC Bill — The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. PG 50 Section 152 in HC bill — HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise. Pg 58 HC Bill — Government will have real-time access to individual's finances and a National ID Healthcard will be issued! Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Government will have direct access to your bank accts for election funds transfer. PG 65 Sec 164 is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations (read: ACORN). Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Government will create an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Government control. PG 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill — Government mandates linguistic appropriate services. You know, I'm opposed to this health care bill, however, I have to say, this isn't really the very good critical appraisal. I have a hard time taking seriously someone that can't pick out any good points and sees only bad points. Partisan much? What ever happened to intelligent debate in this country? It's all partisan politics now. *sigh*
I've posted the link if you want to take a close look at the entire package. I just thought that by pointing out some of the bad parts it would show that much work is still needed to get a better bill through Congress than this one is. As you see in this bill there are many things which need to be eliminated or changed and the items posted are up for debate as well. If there's something good about the ones I've posted then tell us by all means.
I think choosing the bad points may help draw attention to this bill...so I see no harm in that myself. And I must admit that I find most of those measures to be insane and draconian...the government granting itself more power again and again...we appear to be getting closer to marshal law... There where a few points, however, that looked good...just a few in the face of so many more that look and sound like "take-over" bull-hunky. So far, from what I've seen the bill looks lousy and painful. I will have to read the entire package using the link that Cosmo provided to make my finding this bill easier. Though it looks like shit...it would be unfair not to look at the whole bill and weigh the pros against the cons. So..................................

Living wills are nothing new and are highly recommended by all estate planners even now. A lot of folks have them, my family does. What is draconian about a living will? The living will would be made available on the insurance exchange site. There is no health care that is free, someone pays for it, and it isn't the Government, they have to take money from the Tax payer to pay for anything, so no matter what, in the end you pay the freight and the Government increases the cost.
