http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,522217,00.html Did a UFO deliberately crash into a meteor to save Earth 100 years ago? That's what one Russian scientist is claiming. Dr. Yuri Labvin, president of the Tunguska Spatial Phenomenon Foundation, insists that an alien spacecraft sacrificed itself to prevent a gigantic meteor from slamming into the planet above Siberia on June 30, 1908. Interesting...
A few questions come to mind. Why didn't the Russians say anything about this when they "claimed " it happened? Why didn't other astronomers "see" this event along with them? There were hundreds of astronomers back then and all of them could verify this but no one said anything then. Nice to wait until 100 years pass so no one can dispute the claim. Why didn't the UFO pilot just blast the meteor out of the sky instead of sacrificing himself for with his "advanced" intellect , why would he commit suicide when other options were available I'm sure or was he just one stupid Mo Fo UFO ? I really doubt that anyone was looking into the sky at that moment to see anything that close by Earth and to actually "see" a UFO along side of the meteor would be a very far stretch of anyones imagination, even the Russians.
Exactly. That's why every nutcase and his dog have the "information" all over the internet... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Ah, it works like this, a passing alien with the technology to zoom around the vastness of space just happened to be passing Earth, and noticed a meteor heading for an unpopulated area, so went on a suicide mission to save nobody. The eivdence is that in such a collision, all the evidence would be destroyed, and there's no evidence, proving the evidence was destroyed.

What if they are wrong about the meteorite. What if there was no meteorite to run into and it was just a ship crashing. That would be more logical if there was ET's involved. They either destroyed the ship knowing they were going to crash in an attempt to leave no evidence or when the ship crashed it blew up and who know's what kind of power source was behind it, maybe something powerfull enough (nuclear) to do the damage to the forest. From what I understand nobody is really sure what happened there. But of course it's just speculation on my part.
There was no meteorite: it's defined as a meteor until it actually hits the ground. All indications from Tunguska are that the "object" (I'll call it that since it leaves hope for the UFO fans) broke apart/ detonated in mid air - there is no impact crater. It wasn't a nuclear-powered spaceship: http://www.jamesoberg.com/ufo/tungus.html And Tunguska isn't unique: Same source. Which also concludes:
This made me chuckle. From the article: "We also found ferrum silicate that can not be produced anywhere, except in space." :wallbang:
Surely it can be made in Taiwan like everything else? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Anyway it's a well known fact meteors are from China, evil commie bastards!
Well, they are obviously insinuating that it must have come from the UFO. But what about the meteorite.. it was from.. uhm.. space. Right ? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! And still, I'm not convinced that ferrum silicate cannot be produced on Earth. Perhaps not naturally though..
