    What exactly is Ganzfeld experiment?

A person is seated in a comfy chair, two halfed-ping pong balls are put over his eyes, and red light is shined all around the room and into the eyes. The person than wears headphones which emit "white noise" which is basically static.

Because of red uniform color of the room the brain turns off the eyes and person sees darkness. The white noise also makes the person deaf as long as the white noise is on.

In this sensory deprivation, the person last for an hour, after which the scientist in another room views an image and thinks about this image, than the person who is under the experiment is supposed to say outloud what he sees exactly.
