Sheeesh!! Got to the frickin' polls 10 minutes before they opened, stood in line outside for 45 minutes and had to leave before I could vote to get to work. I HATE blatant inefficient, unintelligent, caveman, backward, bullshit, retarded, NONSENSE!!!!!!

I agree. They should use Social Security numbers along with a pin number and allow both phone in and on-line voting as well. I've been an advocate of allowing that form of voting but am always told that without a "paper trail" that it can't be done. I have friends working in different parts of the world who just received their absentee ballots so they could never get them back here in time to get their vote counted.

I couldn't sleep last night. I woke up at 5am and headed down to my local polling station (at a church) and waited in line for 20 minutes.

This brought on a tinge of patriotism and giddiness. I started thinking about history and how great it was that I live in the one sliver of human history where people, at least on some small level, have control over who gets to be in office.

Then the polling station opened, and I lost my train of thought.
