I find this one very weird! Running WinXP SP3...IE7 with NIS2005.
When browsing to a particular site, the page starts to load, then stalls, then I get this Windows error message........

Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site
(followed by the url address) Operation Aborted.

It's the only site page so far that we have found that does this.

We have tried just about everything I can think of but can't find a solution.
Any advice to help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    B.

This is easy, uninstall IE and install Mozilla Firefox

I couldn't repeat this problem using my Vista and Internet Explorer combination.

This would suggest that it's like NIS2005 intercepting the page. You could try disabling NIS2005 for duration of the test of the page, however like other people suggest using something like Firefox is a better suggestion, especially since it has a number of tools to aid in debugging why a website has problems.

    Bruinizm,
dad rang me up a few months ago to tell me not to get SP3 because its just to full of bugs. Better off going back to SP2

No...this time MS is not the problem. NIS has these browser issues for a while. I suggest you replace NIS with a single, leaner antivirus app (could be Symantec Corporate) and use different software firewall if you depend on a s/w firewall.
