Recently I have read many news about recent research in human populations and their genetecal varioations, especially in Europe. Perhaps related research will change our view of history and cultural development dramatically? History is much about invasions, migrations, conquests, discoveries, colonisations, but ancient (written) sources give little idea about the details and can be more or less reliable. Usually less especially about numbers. Perhaps such disciplines could give much better information about the above mentioned topics as well as trade routes, slavery, social divisions, epidemics and diseases.
