Is it possible to test how well different countries perform when it come to make a good life for their populations? Often there may be too many factors and different cirkumstances and a too complex situation to compare. If a country base its much of its economy on oil exploitation it perhaps is simpler.
Countries as different as they can be in other respects(say SaudiArabia, Iran Brunei, Venezuela, Norway, Russia) are oil-producers and a very substantial part of their national income is based on oil (and sometimes gas). Perhaps some Social and economic scientists has used this to compare leadership and political/economical systems in those and other countries?
