So basically I just started studying natural sciences and I'm learning about the atmosphere and greenhouse gases...and I understand that a gas can absorb infrared radiation if:

Its molecules have more than 2 atoms,

or if it has only 2 atoms

The atoms at either end of the bond are of different elements.

Ozone has 3 atoms, could it absorb infrared?

Please don't tear me to pieces....I'm just curious. O_O
