This could be one of the most gut wrenching weepy movies of all time...I cried buckets and it's only the trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbB8MAgwqOc Seriously though, any nominations for films that make a grown man cry? I've heard that Grave Of The Fireflies makes the room very dusty, which is why I have put off watching it until I'm alone in the house! :bawl:
Bambi is sooo sad!:bawl: I usually don't cry on movies, but Mystic River, with Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon left me in a very depressed state of mind.
War of the Worlds and most recently, Hancock. Four hours or so of my life that I'll never see again. I'm still heart broken. Edward Scissorhands.
Yeah Bambi is up there, I haven't seen it since I was a tiny kid because I know what it would do to me! Anything with animals being harmed or killed is itchy eyes time.
Because they wasted two hours of my life each on pure drivel. I spent the entire film telling myself "it's got to get better than this, it has good reviews". But it didn't.
Simon Birch is definitely the saddest I have ever seen. I won't watch it again. My son cried so hard he threw up. :bawl::bawl: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! The Green Mile. I cried about the mouse, I cried about the guy at the end. I just cried and cried. And AI. I don't think there was a single happy moment in that whole damn movie. It was more depressing then sad.
never saw it, always meant to, but haven't done it yet. Have you seen House of Flying Daggers? That's sad as well.
******* various vague spoilers possible below *********** My girlfriend says she has never cried as much as she did when whatching Grave of the Fireflies. We have a Studio Ghibli compilation and I have watched all of them except Grave of the Fireflies. She has told me all about it and I refuse to watch it now. Too sad. Most depressing move was Million Dollar Baby. If it was poorly made it wouldn't have had an effect but it was well acted and directed so the ending was so damn annoying. I wish I hadn't seen it. But I've only come close to tearing up a couple of times at a move. (1) The ending of The Pursuit of Happiness nearly got to me, although it would have been a happy tear- if it happened.... which it didn't. (2)Forest Gump - When he has to take care of his child on his own.... gets me every time. Perhaps as a guy it's the father/son storyline that gets to me. I should watch Field of Dreams.
I felt Grave Of The Fireflies would have been too much if it were filled using real people. Yeah, I thought it was a very sad story. Probably more real than most non animated movies.
hahaha wtf? Having somehow unfortunately seen simon birch (midday movies are so much easier to accidentally sit through) that is litterally the funniest thing I've read on a forum. I actually did vomit while watching it also but only because I imagined watching that little obnoxious creature taking a shit, sometimes I take myself to really dark places for no good reason, just to see what happens, that time I vomitted.
