http://www.hrw.org/english/docs/2008/04/07/india18442.htm Indian officials and security forces are responsible for torture, arbitrary detentions and executions, and causing “disappearances.”, both in Indian and disputed territory. It also continues to discriminate against and deny the essentials to their vulnerable minorities, including Dalits, tribal groups, women and religious minorities. What kind of teddy bear would educate these people? What would you call it? Who would you send it to? Also, what does it say about the India public that the torture, extrajudicial killings and exploitation of minorities are issues that are never discussed? I'm trying to imagine police officers of the LAPD getting away with pouring acid into a man's bleeding rectum during interrogation: http://www.worldproutassembly.org/archives/2007/10/india_torture_b.html If the public genuinely cared about these abuses, surely they wouldn't have been occurring for decades. They would have engaged in a coupe, or something.
