As of today, most of the out of hand claims about impossibility of development of life on Mars, have had fallen.

Instead, the possibility of acceletated development of the Life on Mars 3 billon years ago become a mainstream opinion.

Which must force to reevaluate also the observations that show, that it has resulted in development of a Civilization.

There is no now, I suppose. However, was it there 3 billions years ago?

 

i would expect that a rock like this would be a selebrated rarity here. It would be on Internet all right. Can you find any by google?

They are natural, but are attracting interested attention, although they are not nearly as provocative as the figure on Mars.

 

Of course not.
We know life exists on Earth, but the woo woos wants there to be ET life so they can prove the government lied or whatever.
Which is not to say that that there isn't a sufficiency of woo woos that won't use Earth-bound phenomena to "prove" their point.

 

I would think that one can be fair to the observations, and at the same time be vigilant to the obuse of them for some outside purpose.

 

The observation is that there's something that has a humanoid appearance.
With the addition that it's not exactly a one-off occurrence in natural formations.

Anything further than that is the abuse, it's speculation with no basis.
(In this particular case).

 

I would add, that since the thing is on Mars, it deserves additional investigation

 

The main problem being that IS on Mars.
Bearing in mind that we know such things can occur naturally does its existence call for any extra effort or can it wait until we get there in the normal course of events?
Is there anything other than its appearance to indicate that it's worthy of investigation?

 

As of now, we have nothing more than few pictures, taken from10+ meters.

This is the problem, they do not follow up right away on anything MER see. To go back now is a tough proposition, I agree.

The strange thing is that the statistical likelihood of such a formation occurring is far smaller than that of those very early elementary events which took place to give life a foothold on Earth - according to evolutionary biologists.

 

Yet it happens...

 

Prove it. The pattern generation capability of the human mind is very well established. (Of course, if you claim you lack any imagination I can understand why you might not believe those who say they see animals, or faces, or cityscapes in the clouds.) There are a huge number of natural formations that looks like faces, animals, whatever. Pathetic attempts to pretend such things are real are akin to Lowell's self delusion which saw a network of canals on the face of the planet.

What pisses me off is that the exploration of Mars is revealing amazing facts about the planet and this sort of childish delusion is distracting people from these.
