    My observation: atheists are anti-creativity

It seems that atheists think they are so "rational" and love "rationality" so much, it often seems as if atheists are anti-art, anti-philosophy, anti-culture, and anti-creativity.

Is this the case? After all, "art" isn't "rational", right? Let's just live in a society that has no beliefs, no culture, and no art and music!

    What fun!

Nonsense; atheism needs rationality. Music and art and creativity isn't based on EMPRICICAL EVIDENCE so it isn't rational and really is "unecessary"

    Music is evil

    It creates delusions.

Basically, as spidergoat would say, art and creativity is "unnecessary" and there's no reason to have it

Oli, you see? Art is delusional and not rational and it's unecessary! So is culture, nationality, etc

What we need is to sit around as "rational beings" with no beliefs and no ideas!

    Right?

Norsefire you have started some interesting threads but this one should be is just plain stupid.

Whether or not you believe in a magic sky god has no bearing whatsoever on your appreciation for art culture ect.

Art and culture are irrational, unnecessary, emotional, and can create delusions

It's not based on the empirical and rational; some of the crazy worlds portrayed in art are not real and thus should not ever be expressed. Art is illogical, irrational, and unnecessary. It has no basis. It can also create beliefs, and we don't want anyone to have any beliefs whatsoever, right?
    How so?
    See above
    Atheists don't have emotions?
Emotions can lead to beliefs so we can't have emotions.

We need to be rational, logical, unemotional beings. Right?

They're irrational, can create passion and beliefs, and unnecessary.

It's not based on the empirical and rational
How is it not rational? You've said it twice now but haven't explained how.

some of the crazy worlds portrayed in art are not real and thus should not ever be expressed.
They make real the thoughts and ideas of the artist so that others can understand and appreciate the thought.

Art is illogical, irrational, and unnecessary
    Third time now: How so?

    It has no basis.
Lol, of course it does. It is a means of communication, a means with which to share ideas and to accomplish needs. Take for instance romantic music. Without it as a facilitator you couldn't even guess how many people would never have got laid. Romantic music says so much more than many people are capable of putting into words. The same goes with other forms of art.

Emotions can lead to beliefs so we can't have emotions.
Of course you can. It might very well cause issues though when you try and shove those beliefs on everyone else, (you knock on my door early Saturday morning just to tell me that I must like rap music or I shall be tortured for eternity).

We need to be rational, logical, unemotional beings. Right?
Your posts alone are enough to answer that question. No.
