China, the worlds most evil country
I was going to start this post off with a lot of cussing and anger, but after a cup of tea and a moment of reflection I have decided to go with just the anger.
My reasons why China is evil:
- It has amongst the worst cases of human rights abuses in the world
- Its citizens are kept in a state of political fear with political prison camps for anyone who may have an opposing view to the Chinese government
- Its population is HEAVILY censored
- We all know about Tibet
- We all know that the Burma situation is allowed to happen because of its Chinese support.
- We all know that the genocide in Sudan is only able to happen because of all the chinese sponsored weapons (being sold for oil... they make the Americans look like peaceful hippies)
- And now... Southern Africa is going to be experiencing another genocide (the last one took place when Robert Mugabe killed 200 000 matabele... and blamed the Apartheid white government... and the world lapped it up)
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...18/wzim218.xml
Yup, another genocide is going to happen, and the thing that makes me so angry.. is the world is going to let is happen. Right now.. weapons are on their way to Robert Mugabe to help him kill more people. Right now the world knows (the people who need to know).. know that this is going to happen.. and once again.. as in Sudan, as in Burma, as in Tibet... the world are going to collectively sit on their fat bums and do nothing about it (except perhaps send a strong worded letter of dissatisfaction to the Chinese government).
Our governments are failing us. It seems all politics is corrupt and all the peoples of the world are suffering from this sickness of apathy. I honestly dont know how people can live with themselves by not acting on these horrors.
Just remember the next time you buy something that says, "Made in China". Know that is was built with blood and that you are guilty of supporting the worlds most evil country and the actions it commits... simply by purchasing a single product made in China. Though.. I doubt most of the people out there even care.
What makes this whole matter worse, is our wonderful ANC led government are supporting the sale of arms to Zimbabwe, and are not doing a single thing to hinder the process.
I am shamed many times over. I am ashamed to be a South African and for allowing so many Zimbabweans to die and I am ashamed to be a member of the human race. Even most of the "good" people in this world.. are evil.. as they allow evil to happen.
"Evil can only happen when good men stand by and do nothing".. and in the case of the rest of the world.. this is exactly what is happening.
I wish there was some army or something I could join to fight China, Zimbabwes ZANUPF and South Africa's corrupt ANC.
Am I wrong to be so angry?

No! Be angry but direct your anger at the right people. The Congress of the USA was the group of people that allowed to do trade with China as well as letting businesses manufacture their products over there. So look at at who is really responsible when you start to get angry at someone first and do something about them.

[QUOTE=w1z4rd;1825404]I was going to start this post off with a lot of cussing and anger, but after a cup of tea and a moment of reflection I have decided to go with just the anger.
My reasons why China is evil:
And who decides this?- It has amongst the worst cases of human rights abuses in the world
I agree, this is wrong- Its citizens are kept in a state of political fear with political prison camps for anyone who may have an opposing view to the Chinese government
Censored from? Besides, there is plenty out there that is simply inappropriate, and shouldn't be there in the first place.- Its population is HEAVILY censored
Yes, we all know that Tibet is part of China, just like Taiwan.- We all know about Tibet
Many things are allowed to happen because of American support.- We all know that the Burma situation is allowed to happen because of its Chinese support.
Both ways; America sells weapons to Israel, used to genocide Palestinians.- We all know that the genocide in Sudan is only able to happen because of all the chinese sponsored weapons (being sold for oil... they make the Americans look like peaceful hippies)

Yeah, blame the USA for china's problems. Blame the USA for doing nothing. Blame them for not doing enough. Blame them for any damn thing you wish cuz the whole world is OBSESSED with the fall of the USA right down to the Presidential Candidates themselves.

Only the Chinese people can help the Chinese people and the USA doesn't need another tribal war to look after.
Call Blackwater. Have your checkbook ready.

What exactly do you expect our governments to do? Putting pressure on China is like putting pressure on the United States forty years ago. It's the 900-pound gorilla and can do whatever it wants. As for military pressure, we know all too well what happens when you go to war to "right a wrong." Sixty million people died in WWII to free the world from Hitler and Tojo, and all we got was Stalin and Mao in their place.
You don't seem to understand that this is China's path to prosperity. All the Chinese people know it and that's why about 99.9% of them have made peace with it. Their economy is growing by 10% a year. In my youth millions of Chinese starved to death; today most of them have TV sets.Just remember the next time you buy something that says, "Made in China". Know that is was built with blood and that you are guilty of supporting the worlds most evil country and the actions it commits... simply by purchasing a single product made in China. Though.. I doubt most of the people out there even care.
You can't use the standards of your own comfortable life to judge the choices another people make. My country has only existed for 232 years; my people have no sense of history and are very impatient. China has been a continuous nation for four or five thousand years so they are quite comfortable with the idea of waiting several generations, even several lifetimes, for conditions to keep improving. Over the past few centuries (by their timeline) they've watched their country evolve from feudalism to Mongol occupation to pre-Enlightenment aristocracy to corrupt Westernism to Marxism into a capitalist-socialist hybrid. A Confucian society does not place a high value on the right to criticize the decisions of its elders, so the things that seem important to us are of a lower priority to them than having more food and consumer goods.I understand how you feel and I applaud you for being a good-hearted person. But I repeat the question, what would you have your nation do to help the Zimbabweans? War almost never works. Sub-Saharan Africa is still sorting out the problems caused by hundreds of years of meddling by modern Europeans, Arabs, even Greeks, Romans and Phoenicians. Many of the voices who seem to speak for those nations say the best thing we can do is to leave them alone to solve their own problems instead of imposing Western solutions just like the colonial powers did that got this all started.I am shamed many times over. I am ashamed to be a South African and for allowing so many Zimbabweans to die and I am ashamed to be a member of the human race.I've championed the cause of sending food to starving Africans... and watched while it was hijacked by their corrupt leaders and traded for Land Rovers, champagne and weapons. The problem with African nations is their leaders, not our apathy. They have to make the choice to rise up and overthrow their despots. We can't go in and do that for them, in case you haven't noticed how poorly that is working out in Iraq.Even most of the "good" people in this world.. are evil.. as they allow evil to happen. You mistake befuddlement for apathy. It's not that we don't want to help. We just can't figure out what to do any more. After all, it was our good-intentioned campaign to reduce infant mortality with vaccines and antibiotics that brought about their population crisis. We have to face the Law of Unintended Consequences."Evil can only happen when good men stand by and do nothing".. and in the case of the rest of the world.. this is exactly what is happening. You are not wrong to be angry, but you are very wrong to believe that violence is ever the solution to any problem.I wish there was some army or something I could join to fight China, Zimbabwes ZANUPF and South Africa's corrupt ANC. Am I wrong to be so angry?
I also think you're wrong to believe that one people can solve another people's problems. You're probably also wrong to believe that all problems can be solved rapidly. Some of them take centuries. The real world is not an MOMRPG.

China is hardly the world's most evil country.
Although I suppose one inevitable result of China's rise to power is increased anti-Chinese racism, or Sinophobia.

you are the last person on earth that can criticize any country. russia is one of the worst countries on earth.

04-19-08, 09:48 PM #16The First Chechen War also known as the War in Chechnya was fought between Russia and Chechnya from 1994 to 1996..
...
The official figure for Russian military losses is 5,500, while most estimates put the number between 3,500 and 7,500, one as high as 14,000.[5] Although there are no accurate figures for the number of Chechen militants killed, the official Russian estimate puts the number at about 15,000. Chechen separatists claim no more than 3,000. Various figures estimate the number of civilian deaths between 50,000 - 100,000, and over 200,000 injured. More than 500,000 persons were displaced by the conflict,[6] as cities and villages across the republic were left in ruins.
