Woman bites dog that bites her dog that bites on woman causing her scratches

Apparently...a dog from a neighbor next door flew over the fence and bited the dog of this lady who saw it happen, ran to the dog that was attacking her dog, and that woman bited the attacker dog on the nose, meanwhile the dog bited her as well... And yes this was an American woman.

Rice says she bit the pit bull on the nose Friday after trying to pull the dog's jaws off her Labrador retriever, Ella. The dog had jumped a fence to get into Rice's northeast Minneapolis yard, and Rice says she feared the pit bull would kill Ella.

Rice says she drew blood when she bit the dog, and her doctor will have to determine whether she should get shots for rabies.

The pit bull was quarantined. Ella is recovering with staples and stitches to her head and a crushed ear canal.

i had a dog (little jack russle) atack my cat a while ago and i couldnt get the bloody thing to let go. I poked it in the eyes, tried to rench its jaws open everything, after about 5 min my partner herd me yelling and came out and we managed to get her out and to a vet (poor girl, she then got killed by a car). Will NEVER buy another jack russle again

I don't remember where you live but the article says it was a pitbull and apparently you don't know much about pitbulls. They were originally bred for fighting and they are notorious for killing dogs and other animals. They are incredibly strong and aggressive. Their jaws are articulated in such a way that they can hang onto a dog until it bleeds to death no matter how much they are attacked in the process. Most people find that they cannot get a pitbull to let go of their dog no matter what they do, and they have to wait for the owner to give it a command.

This lady was very smart. The most sensitive area on a dog is its nose. Biting the pitbull's nose was probably the only way to cause it enough pain to make it fight her instead of the other dog.

This is inappropriate and insulting. This woman literally risked her life to save her beloved pet.

You don't know diddly squat about pitbulls either. If a pitbull attacks your dog you'd better have a gun handy.

Many municipalities have passed laws outlawing pitbulls. Every dog gets loose occasionally, it's just something they're very good at. If your dog has the bad luck to get out on the same day a pitbull gets out, he'll die. Even pitbulls being walked on leashes attack other animals.

Evil would be cutting off the pitbull's testicles, feeding them to her dog, and then dousing the pitbulls open wound with lemon juice.

actually stabing a dog or any other mamal through the eye would be a human way to kill it IF done hard and fast enough. The eye socket bone isnt very hard so its a way into the brain. So is the back of the neck but that takes more force which is why it wouldnt be as good an option

I do agree with FR that pitbulls are breed to fight and that with a dog like that its almost impossable to control even if treated corectly. Compared to by GS x red heeler who is breed to WORK not to fight so she is a very playful rather than agressive dog.

PB's are now banned from sale in Australia I belive and ALL of them by law have to be desexed so that in a generation they wont exist (its illegal to breed them too). I have herd alot of stories of pitbulls killing other dogs or in a few cases young children. Compared to other dogs that DO occasionally atack generally when mistreated

umm the fact that im paticipating in this thread shouldnt be taken as aproval for where it is. Its just that im not here much right now (for reasons which have nothing to do with SF) so currently im leaving decisions like that to Mad and string. if you wish it moved to another section PM them and they can decide if its warrented

My dog got attacked by a pitbull and before I could do anything. My dog handled the situation himself and I think the owners got the pitbull to a hospital soon enough. Biting the dog was not the first idea that ran through my head at the time though, I instinctively started looking for something to hit it with. Not that that would have worked. I guess its a good thing my dog is so mean.
