It's just a form of diplomacy. I think there's even a formal name for it in diplomacy schools. Something like "mirror diplomacy". They're demagoguing this nonsense only to stave off criticism about China's actual real abuses. One side does something, the other side mirrors it. Just like when the US kicked out 40 Russian "diplomats" a few years ago, so too Russia kicked out 40 US diplomats in "response".

That's pretty rich coming from a country which by government policy harvests organs from Falun Gong prisoners after they're tortured and killed for doing a friggen exercise (OOH IT'S AN ANTI COMMUNIST CULT!!!)

Can you believe the route of the Olympic torch to China goes over Mt. Everest? How many Tibetan Buddhists got shot just last week?

 

Well, sure they are a totalitarian regime, sure they are criminals and sure they use similar techniques themselves, but it doesn't make them less right about the USA.

You basically can read the same thing in respectable Western law journals, but it doesn't get published in wider media.
