You're pretty good. I got to level 47, 1120 grains of rice. They finally got to words that weren't even educated guesses between two alternatives, just eeny-meeny-miney-moe. I was really embarrassed not to know "lacuna," since Lacuna Coil is one of my favorite rock bands. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
It seems a bit patronising to be playing a game to be giving people grains of rice to survive, but I'm sure they don't mind that. The best thing about it is that it has a huge base of words. Nice site. If someone can beat my score, (not by too much please) I'll try a longer session.
Does the test ever end? I was bored to tears. Oh, and Chris, I read the FAQ: 50 is the highest level you can get to. Good job.
These sites have to do what they can to maximize the number of hits on their advertisers, because it's they who fund the donations. The Hunger Site is just one click. You can only click once a day, but it's in tandem with Breast Cancer, Literacy, Rain Forest, Animal Rescue and Child Health so you can get all six as fast as you can click.
I can see why they have an upper limit. There will only be a couple of hundred words at that level. If you learnt all those, you could carry on all day if you wanted to. When they have double the amount of words, they mlght increase the number of levels. The way it is calculated is that each time you get three words right, you get an extra point. Get one wrong and you drop down a point. As your points increase, you get a new batch of words, which are of increasing difficulty. A simple game, but a huge amount of work has gone into it. The writers must be very happy at its success. Another competition. See who can get the most grains of rice in 5 minutes. 15 minutes. One Day. http://www.freerice.com
Dammit, I just spent 20 minutes trying to break 50, 'til I got a bunch of repeats and felt like I was cheating. It ain't an intelligence test, I guess. Always read the directions
. . . . and if that fails, ASK for directions. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Of course the female motto is: when all else fails, read the map.
I was doing well until "humility" I picked answer B. Master of the universe ( alias Kremmen) Tread boldly men!
Sorry Captain, I feel like ..a.. umm...lost for words...gumby in the presence of your greatness. /humbled
Look, Spud, a score of 41 is also very good. I'm sure other people will have got the same score, or even lower. Why don't you have your own competition? Cummon everyone, if you got 41 or less try to defeat (that means beat) Spud. If you want to beat me at something, try the world travel iq test. I've got the bottom score so far. http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=75605 No questions about Dudlay.
