So what do you pray for ?
I mean things that return in you prayers, not just something you prayed for once.
To the atheist: What would you pray for ?

    Please keep things civil...

Edit: Ok, I screwed up the title.. forgive me please

Your title says "where"? I would answer "my spirit."

I pray for/about just about everything. God WANTS that kind of relationship with His kids.

I only start praying ( I dont even know why?????) when things are getting really bad!
Like when my mom was in the hospital I actually went to the chapel ( it was prob 15 yrs since I last stepped in a church) When my son was a baby needed surgery........yes prayed again.

    I pray for the following:

That humans will give up their ignorances and try to get along with each other and especially not fight endlessly over religous idealogies that tear people apart.

That sickness, hunger, misery and poverty will end.

That the human race will be able to deal with the very real possiblity of alien life elsewhere in the universe( if it becomes a real situation) without society decaying into anarchy.

I understand, but as written in the OP: "To the atheist: What would you pray for ?"
Meaning what would you pray if you believed it would do any good ?

I know it is weird for me. I never pray because I don't beleive in it.
Then someone is dying or seriously ill, it is like some last resort thinking or something
and I actually will say a little prayer, even then I don't really think it will do anything
    I don't know why I do.

We have a saying here in the Netherlands: "De brutalen hebben de halve wereld".
Translated: The bold have half the world.
Not really catchy in English but I guess you can see the point
