Steve Jackson Games - Predicted 911 event

http://www.rinf.com/news/jun-05/16b.html (yes is is a conspiracy site - nonetheless this card game/roleplaying game did exhist. Still exhists). I do not think that Steve or anyone that worked for him had prior knowledge(hell in 1990 OBL was getting stingers from 'merica!).

How many of you knew about this. I remember on 911 - going wtf that's just like that Illuminati game of Steve Jacksons.

A case of "roleplaying" what a super powerful shadow government organization "would" play as a political option....then 5-6 years later it really happens. Wow.

In 1990, role-playing inventor, Steve Jackson, was planning his newest game, which he would ultimately call the "Illuminati -- New World Order" Game, or "INWO" for short.

Jackson was creating a game that would hit very, very close to home, very close to the actual plan of the Illuminati to propel the world into the New World Order

Didn't Steve Jackson also create "Car Wars"? I hope that means he's predicting we get to install machine guns and rocket launchers on our cars soon...that would be awesome.

Naw we missed the timeline for carwars...or maybe not

Car Wars is set 50 years in the future. When it was
published in the 1980s, the current time was the mid
2030s. The game follows an alternate timeline beginning in the year
2000, where worldwide political turmoil and the depletion of
natural resources forces the United States government to nationalize oil production. The three major
oil-producing states, Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana, secede from the Union and America
fights a brutal "Second Civil War". The war ends in 2004
with the signing of the Texarkana Accords. The three former U.S.
states become their own sovereign nations known as the "Free
    Oil States".

In 2012, a strange grain blight simultaneously plagues Nebraska and the Ukraine (which in this reality is still
controlled by the Soviet Union). The
blight spreads across the globe and worldwide famine results. Both
the U.S. and U.S.S.R. toss heated accusations of using secret
bioweapons. Eventually, World War III erupts and nuclear weapons
are exchanged. Fortunately, the advanced satellite defenses of both
nations manage to destroy almost all the incoming missiles. Only a
few make it through to cause rather minimal damage.

Afterward, both nations suffer an economic collapse, effectively
bringing down the rest of the world. In America, real estate
becomes worthless, and the land remains a battleground. Food riots,
disease, and territorial gang wars erupt in the most populated
areas, which leads to a mass exodus of the cities and people
gathering in heavily defended "fortress towns". The
police and military fall to shambles and become decentralized,
quickly finding themselves unable to handle the gangs who are
    better equipped than they are.

By 2018 the civil unrest quells itself somewhat, as "algae
farms" spring up to compensate the shortage of food. However,
the people at large remain lawless and continue to struggle against
each other in an anarchic wasteland. "Death Sports"
quickly become a popular form of entertainment. The U.S.
government, unable to enforce many of the old laws, simply write
them off and legalize such things as manslaughter "for entertainment
purposes". In 2020, after a famous demolition derby where a
participant mounted machine guns to his vehicle to eliminate the
competition, the term "autodueling" was born. In 2021,
the first official autodueling arena was opened, and by 2025,
fifteen other arenas were in operation, including those set up in
    Canada and the "Free Oil
States". The American Autoduel Association (AADA) is founded,
to help sponsor arena events and assist drivers who become
    members.

Autodueling quickly grows into the most popular sport in the
world. Within the cities, autoduelists fight it out in dueling
arenas to win large cash prizes and prestige. Aside from the
arenas, autodueling is forbidden within the city limits. Outside
the cities where laws don't exist, autodueling is everywhere
and drivers have to take their chances when it comes to surviving
road gang ambushes set up to steal their vehicles and take their
    gear.

Technology however, has caught up with the needs of the
autoduelist. New innovations in vehicle design has replaced
gas-powered internal combustion engines with more efficient
electrical fuel cell power plants, and miniaturized weapon
technology allows military grade weapons and armor to be easily
mounted on civilian vehicles. A popular vendor for such gear is
"Uncle Albert" who has a chain of autodueling outlets in
every major city. Even auto manufactures typically sell their cars
with offensive and defensive gadgets included as standard
    equipment.

In the medical field, human cloning has become so advanced that
complete, full-sized, adult, replacement bodies can be grown from
donated cells in a matter of days. Those autoduelists who can
afford expensive "cloning insurance" can have their
damaged bodies replaced by these new clone bodies. Their mind and
consciousness are periodically recorded and stored inside
sophisticated computer databanks, which are then uploaded into the
clone upon death. With this technology, death has become a minor
setback for many autoduelists, and they can return again to fight
    another battle.

Some more cards from the game:

Funny thing, in 1990 Steve's offices got raided by the Secret service and one of the computers was running the "Illuminati" BBS(remember those lol)

It don't think Steve had knowledge - but it IS very interesting to me that a roleplaying game(roleplaying a shadow government conspiracy) is emulating the event SO well.

Let's just wait for this card to be played:

I remember playing this but I had the original set with black & white cards & no Terrorist Nuke/WTC card. So this card was added sometime after. Was it after the 1st attempt to blow up the WTC?

The only thing this proves is that the WTC was metephorically like one of those structures made from a deck of playing cards - has a big bullseye written all over it.

I remember that game. Never played it through. However, I was a huge fan of "Car wars".
I actually went so far as to scale up the 'angle ruler' so we could play using "Hot Wheels" as miniatures. I cannibalized plastic parts from my model collection, and glued them to the cars to make weapons. I also spent time painting and putting scratches/bullet marks on them.
I think I'd still play that game nowadays if I could find people to play with.

I guess so, Yes I think it was just chance, again in roleplaying being in charge of a shadowy, string pulling organization . I find it strange they(secret service) specifically collected the Illuminati BBS in 1990.

I don't think the secret service raid was intended to stop the publication of the Illuminati game, although they did end up going after Steve Jackson's Cyberpunk game. This is from the SJ site's list of media errors concerning the raid:

    4. The raid was after GURPS Cyberpunk.
No it wasn't. The Secret Service suspected one of our staffers of
wrongdoing, using his computer at home. They had nothing connecting his
alleged misdeeds with our office, but they raided us anyway, and took a
lot of things. One of the things they took was the GURPS Cyberpunk
manuscript. Their agents were very critical of it, and on March 2 in
their office, one of them called it a "handbook for computer crime."
Since their warrant was sealed, and they wouldn't comment, our best guess
was that they were trying to suppress the book. They did suppress it, but
apparently it was through bureaucratic inertia and stonewalling rather
than because it was a target of the raid.
