I also like to thank the original trilogy films for helping me kick Scott @ss and prove that he has no idea what he talking about. Also for proving that star wars sucks and trek pawns all!

And then you woke up from your delusion to reality. So tell me, do you often try to rewrite your failures? Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a bit of revisionist history...for the fiction it is.

So he can sense when some going to attack him, but yet he cant since that han is going to shoot his wing man thus cuasing him to fly in to him, thus cuasing him to spin out of control? Another words he in idiot? So much for force powers. Better hope he doesn't use thermal detanator. He wont be able to sense the grenade, since it wasn't aimed at him on purpose. Another words vader is stupid noob and force powers are usless. Also star destroyer have one turbo lazer cannon on each ship.
Actually he probably would have sense Han coming if he hadn't been so focused on trying to take out Luke. You know how it is, tunnel vision, Star Trek Sensors suffer it all the time. I mean how ineffectual must your sensors be if they can't find something becuase it is hiding in plani sight inside the magnetic pole?

As for the Turbolasers per ship...The Acclamator Troop Transport has 16 Heavy Turbolaser as heavy anti ship weaponry, and it is just a piddling Troop Transport. ISD carry 60, ISDII carry 100, VSD carry 20, VSD II carry 24, Mon Cal Ships carry 48 and even Tantive IV a diplomatic corvette had Six.

Straw man, doesn't matter is 17 people chose Space Balls. Even if they had chosen Trek, Trek still would have lost

Perhaps it should be noted that most people voted and left...

those that stuck around to prove their points (or to vainly try to disprove anothers point) are the only ones that count... if I'm not mistaken, trek seems to have won hands down in that department.

Trek - multiple TV series, movies, book lines, toys, plastic AND metal models, fanatics who make their own trek-based religions, and more

Wars - 6 movies (three of which were crap), some books, and some childrens playthings and the occasional plastic model.

    Hm, wonder who wins...

So, does it make their vote any less correct?

You are mistaken on more than one level

A: You don't make the rules
    B: Everyone's vote counts
C: Star Wars won on so many more levels.

Trek - multiple TV series, movies, book lines, toys, plastic AND metal models, fanatics who make their own trek-based religions, and more
Not to mention a group of people synonmous with 40 year virgins. Oh yeah this is a real fun group.

Okay 10 movies , none of which made it into the top 50 scifi movies of all time. 5 series two of which were cancelled. One of which is regarded as one of the worst mistakes in television. A seperate cartoon series. A table top wargame with rules so complex you almost need a slide rule. A Roleplaying game that has not sold well no matter who publishes it. Computer games, assorted nicknacks, a casino/resort, book series, technical manual, metal, plastic, and polystyrene models. One collectibal card game. Toys. Lego sets. A made up language. Two sets of fanclubs. A comic book series Magazines/oh and some stamps

Star Wars - 6 movies (three of which were crap), some books, and some childrens playthings and the occasional plastic model.
Six movies four which are in the top 35 movie sci fi movies of all time (3 in the top 12)(link) as well as the original Trilogy being in the top 250 movies of all time. One of which is one of the highest grossing movies of all time. 2 seperate cartoon series. Several TV specials and miniseries. Metal/Plastic and polystyrene models, knick knack, plastic toys. 2 best selling roleplaying games, two different table top wargames. Two different best selling cardgames. One of the most kick ass monopoly sets ever, fanclubs, magazines, book series, adventure book series, several comis book series, Font set, Stamp set and special R2-D2 mailboxes.

    Hm, wonder who wins...
It's a war jack off, of course Star Wars Wins

BTW in case you missed the point the war was based off of each Universe being real. As in the universe the Federation is in and the Universe the Empire is in. And it is an all out war.

Oh and in case you are wondering at the US box office,

#293 Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) $109,713,132

    for Star Wars it is

    #2 Star Wars (1977) $460,935,665
    #5. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) $431,065,444
#8. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005) $380,262,555
#19. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) $310,675,583
#20. Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983) $309,125,409
    #25. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) $290,158,751

So even the least grossing movie among Star Wars movies is more than double the gross of the of the best grossing Star Trek movie......

    Link

I'd say Star Wars has clearly won.

That's a good match up Battlestar Galactica vs Babylon 5...

The level of technology in both is what I would call low tech. The both have jump technology.

fighter to fighter: B5 fighters do just as much reaction control as BSG fighters but the BSG fighters seem to be faster...(maybe just because we've seen then in relation to other objects) I mean the seem wickedly fast. The look smaller and more efficient that the B5 fighters...

But when it comes to fire power nothing beats the White star Energy weapons once more I have to discarde rail guns as and ineffiecient weapon of destruction.

Now he's bringing money into the discussion. I'm walking away from this one, this is grasping at straws.

Anyway, I guess we may need to start another thread so the five-O don't come down on us for our B5 vs BSG discussion.

Scotts is ultra noob he cant even see that he is defeated. Second, every one voting for star wars, means nothing. Just means most people who voted like star wars and not star trek. Most star trek fan avoid this thread. Also your point on lord vader is meaning less. For some so focused on killing luke, he didn't even mange to kill teenager behind the wheel of vehicule couple feet ahead of him. Were was your force then? Another words vader is in idiot with tunnel vision. Face the facts, your films have pretty much removed any chance of you winning. Also ISD have only "one" turbo lazer tower (*cannon*) token straight From star wars new hope.

In star trek they say clearly that we have 32 phaser banks, and can fire them in groups of five at a time. In Star wars they don't mention how many towers you have, but you can see they only have one or two at most, since that all they ever shoot. So face it we out number you, out gun you, and out smart you. Your own films shot themselves in foot. it over. Nothing you can say, no lies you can utter, no irrelevant fact you bring it up, nothing can changes this. Your defeated.

Oh, god this is rich, some mentally challenged poster speaking Leet (and poorly at that)somehow manages to to have convinced himself that Star Trek wins just becuase he says so. Never mind the fact the mountain of evidence pointing to an over all technological superiority, numerical superiority, tactical and strategic superiority in favor of Star Wars. Hell the the Old Republic stood for 25,000 years until it morphed into the Galactic Empire. Before that the galaxy had FTL transportation for several millenia. The idea that anything short of the very few godlike civilization doing anything that could even slow Star Trek down borders on ludicrous. Hell, even the Godlike being would have absolutely no reason to interfere, in fact I can be sure the Q would find it an entertaining diversion.

As for you claims of 32 Phaser Banks per ship, even if any Federation ship did have that many the combination of all thirty two 10.5 to 12.5 gigawatt blasts would be less powerful than the Twin Laser Cannons carried by TIE fighters and the Federation ship can't fire them as quickly or as often. The Galaxy class starship would take 150 seconds to produce the same power from it's warp core that one of the sixteen Heavy Turbolasers on an Acclamator class Transport produces in a single 1/15 of a second shot. And you somehow believe that a Star Trek vessel of any make or model has a chance against a Star Wars capital ship?

Now even if Star Trek could match the firepower by some miracle, it can't match the speed. A Star Destroyer takes at worst a few days to get from one end of the galaxy to the other, and they are slow ships in hyperspace. Original projection had the Voyager returning home in 70 plus years if they could maintian maximum speed and they only had about half the galaxy to go. How would any of the Star Trek goverments defend territories when a hundred ships can appears with only a split second warning, fire a few barrages and leave just as quickly if need be? Simple, they can't.

Where is that, or are you such a thundering moron that you think that ISD is Death Star. No, sorry to disappoint you but ISD stands for Imperial class Star Destroyer and they have 60 Turbolaser, 60 Ion Cannons, Tractor beams, 24+ Proton Torpedo Tubes, 12+ Heavy Concussion Missile launchers. This is in addition to the TIE fighters carried, assault shuttles, imperial shuttles, and the two escort cruisers in hangar bay.

By the way just the trench that the Rebel pilots had to fly down for the exhaust port there were 30 pairs of Turbolasers, and that was a very small section of the Death Star.

You are the one that brought the success angle in, I was just driving the final nail in the coffin.

By the way, believe it or not I am a Star trek fan. I'd love to vote for Star Trek to win, but I have to be honest to the genre in question. In an all out war between the two universes Star Wars wins hands down, but at least it would be entertaining to see Worf and a Wookie fight without weapons...
