Star Wars is a space-opera and Star Trek is a sci-fi ticket, which results in the bending of the texture string that divides the both.

This really puts things into proportion... all the idiots saying "why was the Enterprise afraid of an asteroid field"... this shows perfectly well why. Compare the size of the Defiant to the M.Falcon. Now, compare the Defiant to the Ent-D.
Now, compare the size of the asteroids in Star Wars against the M. Falcon. Do the same for the asteroids in Trek against the Ent-D.
I'd wager the Kinetic Energy values for the Trek asteroids will come up many, many, MANY, exponentially times greater than the asteroids in Star Wars...

It's been awhile, I thought I should bring Dune back into the argument.
*Dune is multi-galactic in scope and far outnumbers ST or SW.
*Dune has instantaneous travel.
(Glad to see that rice is gone, he's the reason I stopped bothering to come here)

Superior numbers and better ftl is a huge advantage that would give dune the win. Plus I think dune has better ground forces compared to either group.
