    Grand Army of the Republic

    Enterprise D, Jean Luc
The Arc Hammer, home to the Dark Trooper
    Q Who, first Borg encounter
    5 and 3

    Now my turn:
What is your favorite sci-fi vessel and why?
    What are its capabilities?
What does it go toe to toe with constantly and how power is it?

Poletomy is my favorite sci-fi vessel, it is not very powerful, but powerful enough, GN Shields GN Cannons, and carries 4 Gundams ( not including O Raiser and GN Archer ) .ect. I like it because it looks cool. It usually fights A-Laws in the second season and usually wins.

The Galactica (new), it has an impressive array of weaponry.
It has an impressive FTL system and heavy weapons.
I am confused as to the third question.

Hmm... toughy... I'd probably have to go with Daedelus because I can honestly see our first extra-solar vessels being shaped somewhat like that And railguns make good sense in space (their biggest drawback atm is cooling them, much easier to do in space)

I prefer a Space Marine Battlebarge because it can gut a planet in seconds, and it fights Xeno ships on certain occasions.

*nod*....for me it's a tough choice. But considering the versatily of the USS Voyager i'll have to choose it. As for character, I'd say, ummm....Sisko.

mmm, nice choice. yeah those situations with the Cardassians were so juicy!
My favorite episodes are the ones with Vic Fontaine.

hmm, I'd have to think about that one for a bit. I'll write out my choice later.

    1) already answered that one in the previous post.....
    2) Implemented alien technology, Borg, alien(can't remember race) crystals for the warp core, slipstream drive, armor given by the alternate Admiral Janeway...and there's a bunch of other stuff I can't remember at the moment.
    3) usually toe to toe with the Borg for the most part. there are other examples but I'm too tired at the moment to remember them :/
    I'll write them out tomorrow

mmm yes...forgot about SG for second there
Oh really...? I thought the newer ships didn't need to cool their weapons because they are Asgard upgrades....

1.With the return of Invader Zim: The Massive, flagship of the Irken Armada and home of the Tallest during OID II. Why? Because it is The Massive! When you call your ship that you know it's big!

    2. Inter-galactic FTL, armor that make's the Sun Crusher look like tissue paper, and giant planet destroying megalaser. And lots of snack food!

    3. Has only been seen is ship to ship combat once and was shortly after that taken control of by Zim. It smashed through a very large asteroid and a planet before going straight through a star with only slight damage to the paint when it came out the other side. The Resisty ship used its laser to put "Resisty Rocks!" on the paint. At no time was anything but the paint damaged.

Also, I'll concede now that the Irkens only have a 30% chance at best of taking on either the Delaks or Xeelee. I foresee the Irkens ranning away given I now know far more about DW and a bit more about the Xeelee as being more likely.

I will still be doing my multi-versal conquest ranting! You will not stop me from doing that!

*nod* of course the retro look of the series is more of an homage to the original. Can't imagine what it would look like if it had CGI like any Stargate series :P

Daleks must hate Borg very much right now.

I meant actual railguns - a big problem with them is that accelerating the slug via electromagnetic fields heats the rail to the point that parts of it flash-vaporize into a plasma jet. Supercooling it helps prevent this and it also doubles effect in that it helps increase conductivity

*nods* cool..... you know now that I think about it, they never actual installed energy weapons on the gliders :/ last time I checked they were still using missles......

Autocannons would destroy anything, even Star Trek ships.
