'Al Qaeda rolodex' found in Iraq

The documents confiscated in that raid listed the identities of more than 700 foreign fighters in Iraq, whom the United States believes entered that country since August 2006. The official describes the documents as "an al Qaeda rolodex."

Firstly, we have over one hundred thousand solders in Iraq. Sure 700 people who weaseled their way into Iraq are not the brunt of the force we are fighting. We are obviously battling Iraqis.

With that in mind think about this statement from the White House:

"These statistics remind us that extremists continue to go to Iraq because they do not want the United States nor the Iraqis to succeed in establishing a democracy there that is an ally in the war on terror," she added.

This makes absolutely no sense. Why wouldn't Iraqis and Al Qaeda want democracy? The first thing they'd do is vote for the Americans to leave. Then they'd vote in a Theocracy and probably the Shia, being the larger group, would set about trying to extract revenge on the Sunni. In which case with America now gone the Sunni could hand their arses to them. If anything it seems to me that the majority of Iraqis and Al Qaeda would love democracy.

A democracy that votes in a theocracy???

I suppose hardcore muslims wouldnt want any form of democracy, as there is no tradition of such in Islamic scripture or history.

Why would you think they would want democracy when they have lived without it for eons? Based on such a track record I would think they don't want anything to do with democracy.

Of course it doesnt make sense do you really think the Iraqi resistance would be stupid enough to record the name and details of of hundreds of fighters on a rolladex ! For Christ sake use your commonsense the Iraqi resistance has several internet sites they post their victories on , logically they would of recorded their details on a computer disk ?
According to the US occupiers Iraq already has a democratically elected government and guess what the Iraqi Prime Minister told the US to leave .
And guess what America has not left , demonstrating that America is the source of the problem in Iraq .

That's different than flat out saying: LEAVE. You're liink says "any time they want" which is to say "when you want" well the US obviously doesn't want to leave.

When the Philippines voted for the US millitary to leave they left.
