Oh crap, I have no idea where the locking key is for my car's wheels. Is there any way I can solve this problem? I was going to book the car in for a service but there's no way that's going to happen if they can't get the wheels off....what if I get a puncture? The car has Dynamics Eiger alloys....everywhere I have checked won't sell the locking keys individually, only with a set of alloys. Anyone ever been in this situation? How'd you solve it? Thanks all
No. They will have to bust the lock off with a type of chisel. You'll need a new set of key locks. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Waiiiiit a minute. You mean after they knock the old locking nuts off I will need a new set of locking nuts?
OK, to save me phoning up a bunch of people will the same guys that chisel the old nut/nuts off be able to install a new set for me too so I can just go pick it up with the new set all installed and whatever (can you tell how lazy I am)?
any tyre dealer would be able to remove them for you, there arent too many locking patterns. just get them to put regular old nuts on there afterwards if they dont have a spare key. alternatively you could just put vice grips or a pipe wrench on them and take them off like any normal person would.
