Thread: The New What's On Your Cd/Turntable Thread.

The New What's On Your Cd/Turntable Thread.

It has been suggested that popular threads that have exceeded a certain number of posts be closed and re-opened as a sequel. It has been further suggested that 2200 posts most certainly exceeds that threshold. In this light, it is time to lock the old CD/Turntable thread and begin anew.

Therefore. A small selection of the opening songs on my ipod today are the following:

    Mule Skinners by Woody Guthrie.
Eres Para Mi by Juaneta Vega.
    Stinkfist by Tool.
    #1 Crush by Garbage.
    Magdalena by Tool.
    La Camisa Negra by Juanes.
Ce Que Je Suis by Holden.
    Ar Knack Ya by Fulani.

As we are going to start V.2 why don't we make it a rule that we post an mp3 or youtube vid to go with the title, for those of us that haven't a clue of who the next person is talking about?

Sometimes the music isn't on youtube or MP3 so then what can be done?

You could make an mp3 and upload it, like we do with pics.

You can post links if you like, but I don't think it should be a rule. Especially since the internet experiences a certain amount of flux. Links, especially youtube links, are rarely around long.

But if there are no links, then it's just words; I mean, I've never even heard of some of the bands you mentioned in your opening post, so I can't even imagine the type of music you're talking about.

    Also in the queue:

    Morphine, Yes

To the other, I'm on my way out the door to see Floater. (See Myspace.com for some live Floater videos.)

Well, it's not that hard to google up any particular song that sounds interesting. Especially in the days of Firefox and smartsearch.

Mule Skinner Blues (Bill Monroe, not Woody Guthrie. I look Woody's version better): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFgq-plLuVk
