Was browsing the "Pain Tolerance" thread and was wondering if there might be a correlation between parents physically punishing their children and the political orientation of the kids as adults.

For simplicity, there are 4 categories, the extremes of the political "baseball diamond." The terms in () are what they're known as, roughly, in the States.

    Socially Conservative, Economic Conservative (Authoritarian)
Socially Conservative, Economic Liberal (Conservative, Republican)
Socially Liberal, Economic Conservative (Liberal, Democrat)
    Socially Liberal, Economic Liberal (Libertarian)
