I actually got to see it...it was really cool. I spent the night with my parents and had to go outside to smoke in the morning, looked up and saw it. Made me wonder what ancient people thought of a sight like that.

Nice job, Baz. It looks getting the exposure right was tricky for some of the partial eclipse shots.

Here are some photos taken at my University's little observatory:

Images of the Lunar Eclipse on Tue 28 August 2007
They piggybacked a little 5 inch Celestron with a Nikon D200 to one of the big mounts. The mount they used is actually owned by Louisville University, and can be remotely driven over the Internet in their astronomy classes.
