IKK Protein: blocks anti-cancer gene from chemical shutdown

    protein IKK-alpha:

This protein prevents cell imune defenses against harmfull mutations from being shutdown...however it is missing in cancer cells.

Which means that we can use this protein iKK-a to block more cancer from spreading.

It is not missing in all cancer cells.

largely absent in one type of skin cancer
Or even completely in this type of skin cancer.

The protein IKK-alpha, expressed at reduced levels in aggressive squamous cell carcinomas both in mice and humans, prevents a vital "checkpoint" gene from being chemically shut down
