I'm sure many of you heard of this form of meditation that is practiced by some Tibetan Buddhists from the same way I just head of it, through an article about neuroplasticity that said that monks who have practiced this have created a permanent increase in their amount of gamma brain waves.

In the article I read they said it was focusing unlimited compassion and love on all living beings.

I'm interested in why this is, so I tried to google non-referential compassion for some details but I don't get anything, just links to similar neuroplasticity articles.

I'm hoping someone here might now and provide some more information. Anyone?
