GigaTribe is fun and practical new software that allows you to share specific folders on your computer with friends (or professionals!) located anywhere there is an internet connection, and best of all, it's free!

Basically, you select specific folders (and therefore files) on your computer which you want to share and then you invite your friends into your network. They can therefore download files (and even entire folders of files) onto their computer and you can do the same from the folders on their computer that they're willing to share. You can even use GigaTribe to access your computer from a remote location (work, etc...).

It's 100% safe (256-bit blowfish encryption, no spyware/adware), you can transfer huge files (no-limit) and it's easy to set up. Furthermore, all exchanges are encrypted, so your exchanges remain confidential. For more info or to download free GigaTribe, go to gigatribe.com. I'm open to any feedback or questions you may have, just post them here or shoot me an email at john at gigatribe dot com.

I heard they steal your files and infect them with viruses, porn, trojans and spam.

    Must be a bot

I remember way back in the early 00s when gator had a really nice windows application for doing this kind of thing. You could select a folder, and share whatever was in it on a p2p network. I forget what the name of it was......nappigator or something. Of course, it didn't take long to rue the day I ever installed anything with the words "gotor" or "gain" in it.

Yeah, this sounds like bullshit to me. eMule, limewire and (best of all) torrents already exist, what advantages does this new thing have over them?

    John,
I do realise that you are probably "budget advertising" after all I do realise that you are actually the Marketing guy for Shalsoft and you are trying to premote a ware that people will either find useful or just another version of something already out there, however here at sciforums we don't allow blantent advertisements.

If you want to advertise you have a few options:

Become a posting user of sciforums, join in on discussion and debate while keeping your URL within the Homepage URL of your user profile. We'd love for you to do this in an ideal world because I'm sure your experiences and expertise in areas could be beneficial to topics here, however it's usually seen as impractical by marketeers that are out just to increase their market share.

You could pay such companies as google for advertisement, I believe that is the current rotated advertisement on the "Guest/not logged in" accounts.

You could approach the forums administration about an advertising sponsorship, to my knowledge not one marketeer has attempted this yet and to tell you the truth the forums has a habit of exploding into outbursts at certain changes being made. (Thus the reasons you don't see advertisements after 15-20 posts)

With those points in mind you have to understand why I have to close the thread. This does mean the information you placed forwards will stay put, but this is only because you actually proved you were a human over a marketing "Bot". (Trust me, bots might be seen as an easy way to spread your warez but be it would create alot of enemies with forums moderators closing/deleting threads and number of websites tracking your activities)
