Today I rode my bike about 22 miles in total, over roads, firetrack and a nice little meadow with a stream.

I sat beside the stream and made a fire. Drank some lemonade, which was damned nice after the 11 odd miles there. Sat around for a couple of hours, tending to the fire, quite content.

I took my life in my hands by walking across a fallen tree, spanning the stream. I felt like Bear Grylls or action man for a minute, carrying my crappy axe. I didn't cripple myself, so that made me happy.

    Anyway. Happy Happy Joy Joy.

What made you happy this week?

Anything non-happy or religious won't be tolerated I'm afraid. Happy things on a human level please

i always love hearing about people out in nature, in the real world.

errm thinking about my daughters birth made me happy, and excited. everytime i see the sun shining on natural things like fields of grass, trees and natural landscapes that made me happy.

buying a t shirt with an AK47 on the front saying "for when you absolutely positively have to kill every mother fucker in the room" that makes me smile, especialy when the police ask me why im wearing it.

    peace.

Funny, I also did some biking this weekend as well; out in nature too!
(I'm RMB Mike in the video)

This was at my friend Kenny's house. This is the trail that we've been building on. This is the same trail that I've mentioned in another thread on here. We got enough stunts built to have a few riders over to jam.
The 9 Lives Drop is only 9' tall and 7' gap, not what the video mentions.

Actually just a couple small things, getting an interview, refreshing my love for languages, and someone being very sweet to me.

The guy's amazing. No doubt he's been lucky with the car, but he's got serious skills. And he's only 22. *turns green* He worked hard for it though.

That's cool. You reckon your missus is giving off some pheromones?
I love the sun. It makes everything better in the world, I think.

Hehe. Hope you told the police to do one.

    peace.

Nice one, Mike. That looks a little bit hardcore for me, lol. North shore stuff just scares me for some reason. It doesn't feel right riding your bike in some trees. That's a pretty intense drop, all the same. Awesome to have that at your friend's place, too.

I've got a hardtail that's too small for anything but jumping, at the moment. I'm about 6'3 and it's a 14" frame. I look like I should be in the circus.

Once I've got some cash, I'm going for a 29"er with some semi-slicks for general cruising and long distance stuff. I could do with a full-susser, too, I guess. It's a different experience on trails. You land a jump on the hardtail and you need to pedal like a madman to hit the next one. On a full-susser, the shock makes it feel smooth as anything and gives you a nice ping away!

*goes to look at bike porn*

    What are you riding?

If my friend hasn't drank and smoked all his money we're going to a couple of local trails later this week. Apparently there's a 9 foot huck to pretty much flat mud landing. I need to take a picture. No way am I going to try it out though.

This is a vid my mate made. I'm not in it, but most of the footage is from Glentress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8TfzaZveuc

I've been running 40+ miles a week (I'm determined to make the cross country team again. grrrrrr suck it up and run stupid body!) I continued building the garden. I played hours of tennis and basketball. I volunteered quite a few hours... Wow this makes me depressed. My life is so simple waaaah. Doing trig , calc, and Japanese makes me happy, but school is over for now.
