I finally got my girlfriend to use teamspeak to run a few games and make it easier to communicate with everyone. She uses a headset and turns off her speakers and keeps the headset at a low level but when she talks right after someone else or someone tries to say something (or if the music is on in the game we are playing) it gets sent to all of us and drowns her out. Now, it would be nice if we could mute that background crap entirely, but barring that does anyone know how we cna get it to just pick up her voice without all the crap in the background? The interesting part is, its only computer stuff, someone else talking in TS, background music, all gets picked up and sent back to us through her speaking, when she stops holding down her to talk button it clips off the sound too. We've played with the mic settings a bit but cant find anything.

There should be a way to set teamspeak to have a "Mic Lock", thats when a person presses a button they can't hear anything through their speakers to remove auditory feedback loops.

In the old days, the audio cards weren't Duplex (Meaning bi-directional in the sense they couldn't deal with inputs and outputs at the same time) so this was automatically the case. However they have long since been obsoleted.

The only other option is to purchase her a Handsfree kit. Headset with built in microphone, this way the mic only picks up what she says and she has headphones to hear what you guys say. Since she's your girlfriend, see if you can swing it to buy her a cheapy pair the next time you get her flowers
