Do You Fear A Sports Forum?
I was reading the question a fellow posted about opening a forum for sports. Events, techniques, news, and all that would then be placed into this category as needed. The question I have for all of you then is whether you fear there shall one day be a forum for sports, or do you not really care?
Here is the link http://sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=64146
So if they decided to open a sports area would you fear it? Is it not something you want to consider them possibly doing?
I myself was never very good in sports so I would be fearful of them opening a place for members to discuss them. After-all when you aren't that great at a physical activity it can be somewhat depressing, let alone embarassing. I remember I tried to play basketball for the first time, I was so bad I could barely hold the ball without dropping it or stumbling. My skills in sporting events have always been moot.. I regularly fail at anything that needs skill. A prime example is when I do something like football. I throw terribly, I have no idea how to properly toss, it always ends up swirling instead of turning perfectly.
Have you had good experiences with sports or not? Also is your choice not to allow a forum for this based on those experiences?
I think there is a scientific merit in sports, they require planning, organization, physics, etc.. so that's no problem, the trouble may lie with each of our interactions during these sports. Were you always loosing with the team you were put on? Did they consider you bad luck?

If you don't like/watch sports don't go there.
What's to fear?

Sports just hasn't been the same since grown men stopped running around naked. In Greece. Maybe that would fix Greece too, if they brought it back.

Today there are no more sports, they are all now businesses that are made to earn revenues and create wealth for the few.

Ever heard of sports science? The science of swinging a baseball bat. Before you swing the first thing you need to do is locate the white baseball out of the pitchers hand who is 62 feet away from you and will be throwing the baseball from roughly 72 mph to 100 mph with a variation of different breaks and bends to the trajectory of the pitch. Then see the spin on the ball to see if you get a indication of what pitch you might see. Begin your swing with a small step directly to the pitcher with only your front leg, and step down and keep your foot planted firmly in the ground, and let your hands cock back. With your foot firmly in the ground do the a technique called squishing the bug with you back foot to start your swing. When you "squish the bug" your hands will naturally be "thrown" at the ball as your hips turn to face the pitcher. A sign of a good swing is when your hips are turned with your pelvis facing the pitcher and the knob of the bat is also pointing at the pitcher. Remember to swing all the way through, keep your eyes on the ball, and keep that front foot planted firmly in the ground.

Why in the world would anyone FEAR it?!?!?!?!?!?
Personally, I'd just ignore it like I do several existing categories.

I enjoy sports and physical fitness. It would be nice to have a sports forum here.
