Currently mainstream science disputes as to whether a Chrononaut could ever be possible.

Most of the consensus would suggest it not possible, arguing with one or other theory thats widely used. Many just keep it to the realms of "Fan fiction" and don't really ponder it at much at all.

Those that do ponder it however are obviously up against a brickwall, if it was proven possible whats to stop someone doing a grandfather paradox and making it not possible (while concealing the original occurance via a hostile takeover by some MIB unit with clandestine every-so-secret blackbudget hush money.)

As you can tell, Fan fiction is filled with conspiracies.
