    POINT N KLICK

This is a thread for great PnK games. There were some I found that seem nice, but cannot be beateN because of internal flaws. The games listed here can be beaten without any external assistance.

    1.
    PRICILLA GONE MISSING: http://www.flashportal.com/playmovie.php?id=747&w=large
(This has to be the first mentioned. It is a tad short, but the graphics are great, and the gameplay is great. Don't look for hints on this one. It's a smooth game.)

    2.
There is sort of a new genre of PnK games started by the game, Samorost. Simply a PnK game featuring really weird outer space or fantasy settings with strange graphics. Other indi developers followed in their footsteps to create their own games biting off of Samorost's style.

    SAMOROST: http://www.samorost.net/samorost1/
(Great game. Not difficult at all. Smooth. No hints needed.)

    WOGGER: http://www.wogger.de/
(Biting off of the style of Samorost is Wogger. This game is a little rough around the edges, so getting through this game might frustrate you.

    HALUZ: http://www.haluz.eu/
(Also biting Samorost's style. This time practically the same. This game is decent. Not too long either. You can beat it without cheaing.)

    3.
    GOTMAIL
The gotmail series of games is great. There are 5 of them, but 2 are seriously flawed. These 3 are the ones that work. All three games have the same style of play, and very similar excellent graphics. The interface is great, and the game play is great.

    THE PRIVACY: http://www.gotmail.jp/apps/privacy/privacy_e.html
(This is my favorite. It is long, but very smooth. You will get stuck on this, but I urge you not to go searching for hints in frustration.)

    IL DESTINO R: http://www.gotmail.jp/apps/destino_r_e.html
(This is also very smooth. This is an upgrade to El Destino which turned out to be flawed because you have to access an external japanese site which should not be in the game. The original would be good if they change this aspect. Il Destino R is better.)

    ONE OFF: http://goobike.com/game/game-data/ONE_OFF/oneoff_e.html
(This is also a short one, but not as smooth. There is no need to go searching for hints. This not nearly as great as the others.)

    THE BAR
(This has so much potential to be a very very excellent game. I did not post the link to it because it is flawed. The graphics are beautiful, and the gameplay is some of the best ever. The only problem is that there are 4 different endings, and all of them suck. This is not such a big deal as the endings are not part of the puzzle. You simply choose them at the end. The problem is that there is a combination code for the last box. 4 numbers from 0-9 gives us 10,000 possibilities. There is no clue that tells you the code. You have to go cheat. The code is 9999, by the way.)

    4.
    SUBMACHINE
Submachine is a series of great PnK games. There are 4 in the series. You can actually download the first 3.

    SM1: http://freegameplayer.com/games/submachine/
(Short and smooth. Do not go searching for hints. You will not be frustrated.)

    SM2: http://www.arcadetown.com/submachine2/gameonline.asp
(This one is long and arduous. You might have to do a bit of writing and mapping. This is the best of them all as it is probably the only game listed here that requires a map. It is very great and comprehensive. Do not search for hints in this. It may be hard, but it is smooth, and beatable on your own.)

    SM3: http://www.arcadetown.com/submachine3/gameonline.asp
(This game sucks. IT IS NOT A PNK. OK. It is not that bad, but it is not a PnK. I did a few levels of this mini game, but did not waste much time on it.)

    SM4 ZERO: http://fizzlebot.com/gdc1/cgdc1.php?puzzleID=4
(Real good game. Pretty easy. Short.)

    5.
    OTHERS

    GATEWAY: http://www.mousebreaker.com/games/gateway/play.php
(You will love this one to death. This is a PnK puzzle game. The graphics are great, and so are the puzzles. Do not look for hints. Each room can easily be solved through pure logic.

    MYSTERY OF THE UNIVERSE: http://server-admin.pwp.blueyonder....ry/testgame.htm
(I'm still yet in the middle of this one. So far, it is excellent. This is one of the best of them all, except for the graphics are a bit wack.)

    THE BIG HOUSE
    http://thebighouse.free.fr/the_big_house.php?langage=en
(Excellent graphics. Has the potential to be great, however it is very rough. There is alot of pointless roaming around. One of the puzzles happnes to be unreasonable.)

    6.
    TEXT
These are some excellent text based classic games form the 80s.

HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/hitchhi...ame_nolan.shtml
(I played this a long long time ago. Nice to see it online. Good luck with this one.)

    ZORK 1-3: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/188334
(The Zork games are pure classics. Created in the 70s. One fact I have known for a long time was that our modern day ZIP compression system was the result of this game. ZIP actually stands for Zork Interpretive Program. Even though we now use it in everyday computing and even business, ZIP was created specifically to compress the game Zork because at the time, Zork was too large for those old PCs. Zork is also one of the first internet games ever made. It was shared over the internet many decades ago before many of us were even born. This game was first played over the internet before anybody knew the internet existed.)

    7.
    FUN GAMES

    MCDONALDS: http://www.mcvideogame.com/game-eng.html
(This is a really fun and easy RTS. You do not need to go through the tutorial for this. Just switch between the 4 areas with the objective to make as much money as you can. You can download this game, and play it in full screen. Lots of fun!)

    WAREHOUSE: http://lightforce.freestuff.gr/warehouse.php
(This is one of the most fun puzzle games ever.)

    WONE 2: http://www.crazymonkeygames.com/wOne-2.html
(This game is not a puzzle, but it is alot of fun. You play a tire that runs through ramps. It's very fun just to play and move the tire around.)

    BALL REVAMPED: http://www.armorgames.com/games/ballrevamped4.html
(I beat all 100 levels of this game. Not a puzzle, but it's addictive.)

    CRYPT RAIDER: http://www.miniclip.com/games/crypt-raider/en/
(Nice puzzle game with quite sucky graphics.)

    RUNESCAPE: http://www.runescape.com/
(This is a free MMORPG in flash. I only played this game a few minutes, but the graphics are great, and I'm sure the game play is amazing. You need to put time and effort to play this one.)

    GALACTIC GOLF: http://www.armorgames.com/games/gal...golf_popup.html
(This game is decent. Very interesting playing golf over the planets.)

Amazing. Point and Clicks float my boat. I can't wait for the new Sam 'n' Max.

    Thanks for the links.

There is a sequel to Samorost, but I think they charge.

Il Destino is real good for a quick game.
The Pricacy is even better if you plan to get immersed.
    Both have really good graphics.

I have never played Sam and Max.

    For PC, I reccommend:
Both Syberia 1 and 2. Excellent graphics and smooth gameplay.

Zork Grand Inquisitor. Very rich graphics and lots of fun.

The Longest Journey 1 and 2. These are long, and provide a really good epic story. The Longest Journey is one of the best games I have ever played.

The Myst series. I have only played up to Exile. Would like to do the others.

    Ermm...
    No.
You're a little confused here actually.
Zork was pretty innovative software in it's day and it did come up with not a Zork Interpretation Program. But, a Z-Machine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-machine ) which cut down on shipping size as it's something like interchangeable parts.

You can download a windows implementation of the Z-Machine, by the way. And then can find the infocom info files and play all the old classics. Also, some are still being made today... Avatar made a thread on these awhile back with links galore.

    Anyway.
Thanks for the links, man. Finally. You've shown you're good for something. Some of these are kinda neat. Strangely enough... I was just playing that Destino game the other day... can't remember where I got the link from... But, it was a japanese version and I got stuck with the magazine. Tried to set up japanese characters on my browser... failed. Said fuck it and moved on to other things...
Now I can get past that part.

(The link doesn't work either, by the way, to the destino thing. It's abbreviated...)

It turns out, Il Destino is flawed because you have to go to an external website with Japanese gibberish on it. I replaced it with Il Destino R.

Aah, a personal favourite of mine - played them all, and completed them all, except for Uru - Path of the Shell. 4 was a little tough in places, but the in-game hints were fine, and 5 was pretty good as well, although the character recognition was a little picky at times.

Another classic you've missed - Grim Fandango. Quirky, fantastic dialogue and plot, relatively good graphics. However, last time I tried to get it to work it wouldn't run - you'll probably need quite an old setup.

Longest Journey I enjoyed, although it ended rather abruptly, I felt. Haven't seen LJ2 - have to check it out!

I got really excited when LJ2 came out, but it didn't really turn out as great as I though it would.
