What is the point of the Havest Festival? Is it a Global Christian tradition?

Here in the UK you take a few cans of tin food you have found in the back of your cupboard to school and they give it the old or poor. Is this the same in your country?

However, my main point here is that it is thanking God for the harvest, so doesn't this prove that God was only invented so that crops would grow? We all know that this is part of the History of Religion but its good to see proof of it alive and well today!

What? The title is just a sign of paganization of the religion. it echoes pagan celtic tradition. Christianity is not an earth religion, though it has many borrowings from old pre-christian traditions.

what you are seeing is doubtless an old Catholic/Anglican tradition of keeping Christ's injunction to feed the hungry.

Since most christians these days cant bare to be associated with Christ, that is, someone who dared preach Heavan, Hell, and Judgement as well as Love and Peace, they have to attatch a pagan name on it and abstract the reality of Jesus Christ into a 'cosmic" Christ, a sort of seasonal dying and rising castrated Adonis that would harm no one and be popular among witches.

We have no such religious festivals in my country. There was no such festival is the OT either. Seems like another pagan tradition of man that some supposed Christians?? have mixed onto their self created religion.
