yin and yang are two balanced opposites. i believe they are sometimes used as symbols of suffering and happiness and how the two are necessarily balanced. without suffering, there is no joy.
the idea corresponds to how the human mind works in its basics. our senses work by relating input to other input. we view a color by how it is different from other colors around it. if you look at optical illusions, you can see how this is.

Well, that is about a fraction of its use now a days from what I have learned about it. Wikipedia.com has a good refference to it. Shows alot more of its uses. But that is if you trust wikipedia. Although I don't see why they have any reason to lie about "yin and yang".

Ok, so we can safely say that the third page is a waste of this thread...seriously, everyone, this is childish, Happeh, stop being an ass and get with the program, and everyone else, quit trying to sink to his level and JUST IGNORE HIM. This isn't a flame thread.

No, yin and yang is originally a Taoist principle, and Taoism originated in China, the heart of the Far East.

Possibly. But some how I believe it's still a proper sentence.

We're all on the same topic(most of us, anyway), it's not that big a deal.

With all do respect, there is not much left to talk about "yin and yang", so I suppose it doesn't matter.
