02-17-06, 12:21 PM #763Slander? Im not sure you even know what that means, it means a false statement about you to negatively affect your reputation, i think you'll find we dont need to say anything false, you were quoted after all.Don't try to be condescending. You guys have resorted to immature tactics to get me all emotional. When the argument is lost slander becomes the tool of the loser!
Yeh i saw it, it didnt say it wouldnt kill 150 million, it said the estimates vary depending on how lethal the strain would be and how quickly it spreads.I proved both of them wrong and even brought to evidence to support my claim. I said this bird flu the scientists have blown it out of proportion. It is not going to kill 150 million people. See my link.
PM are you back? You do sound remarkably similar to one such person we used to have around here....What these scientists do is talk crap, they remind me of ancient Greeks, they all used to get to Rather and talk crap use big word to people who didn't have a clue of what they were talking about. This is what the modern-day scientists do.
Which makes it incorrect how? Its called extrapolation, you input all the variables and work out some numbers which will vary, nobody can be sure how many it'll kill until it happens(as it said in the last line of your link), the estimates are up to a certain percentage of the population, similar to the 1918 influenza, which considering modern transport could equate to up to 150 million people.Look at mathematicians they use abstract math to make themselves appear smart and "support" their daft claims.
all this mathematics is abstract...hypothetical shit...
applied math like algebra, geometry and simple calculus)
Like you? Im pretty sure you can do the maths yourself, if the virus can be transported between humans, and it reaches a large international airport, it then reaches major urban areas around the world via people on planes.has a real application in life....abstract math is only used by geeks to talk shit and look smart in front of people who don't understand such as forums nerds like the people replying to this thread without any real knowledge on anything.
1 New York (NY) USA Urban area 21,199,000
2 MEXICO CITY Mexico Urban area 20,267,000

So at 2.5% mortality rate(same as spanish influenza of 1918) 5.5 million people die from the 20 biggest urban areas ALONE, theres 50 more on that list, thats not including rural areas and other large urban areas which could also be quickly affected, especially any other densely populated areas of china and india.
This number will vary if you change the variants, the mortality rate especially, the simplest way to do it is vary it on global population (about 6 thousand million, 2.5% of which is 150 million).

Yeah give me a few text books and give me the equipment and I can be a scientist what is hard about following instructions? all the real intelligent people who changed the world are dead, like Einstein, Darwin (did Darwin have a degree? he was just your average Joe) Newton, Jabir Ibn Haiyan,
Mohammad Bin Musa al-Khawarizmi, Ibn Sina. To name a few, everyone just copies their work without even making any new discoveries. We have a munch of geek who don't have clue of they are talking about thats modern scientists for you. What is the greatest discovery scientists have made in the last 100 years? name one!
You know am right but you will never admit to it, I am studying philosophy by the way. I am going to make a discovery and prove to everyone just watch it.

Again this is all hypothetical shit. Its not like everyones just going to be sitting around waiting to be infected the governments will do something. I mean most people will be vaccinated. Areas will be cordoned off and there will be no-go zones. Come this is not going to happen, only about 5 million would die if it happened. Ain't no virus joint to kill 150 million.

Like that anthrax thing or like a nuclear war I mean humans have been around for years we are resourceful and smart.

I recommend we take a new and exciting approach to dealing with idiots like Muslim. (Actually it isn't all that new, and it's probably quite boring, but apart from that....)
Let us ignore him. Just stop responding. I know it is difficult. But silence can speak louder than words. Lets all give it a try. If you agree then simply post the following post.

You think am joking? anyone can invent and make anything or research something if he has a text book there to follow the steps in. Its all about how you apply it. Did you know, you can actually do a heart transplant if you had the equipment and a text book? even if you had no medical knowledge. But the point the government will not allow you to do it. They want you to pass a test first.

Well anyway guys have a nice time, when you invent something amazing like portion that will give me immortality of something, then pm me.
Still no one answer my question what have scientists discovered in the last 100 years?

Right no, no more nice guy. leopold99, why don't you shrink your head and use it as a paperweight? It's not much use for writing intelligent posts with, that's for sure. Now, if you care to apologize for wasting my shamefully wasted time, I'll consider accepting it.
