Jesus' death vs Pope John Paul 11's death ?

Many people have seen the portrayal of Jesus' death in 'The Passion of the Christ', and how people behaved at the time of His death.

And now, April 2005, you can seen the behavior of the rich and powerful, and the hundreds of millions of people towards the man, Pope John Paul 11's, who represented Jesus and His Father on earth, who just died.

What a contrast!!! Just image when The King of Kings returns ---------->???

    Peace be with you, Paul

Hapsburg, any chance of something more substantial than saying "bullcrap" and calling people nazi's?

Jesus's death was simply the ongoing crowd entertainment provided periodically by the Romans. Mixed in with whom, were Jews who were profoundly offended by a Jew claiming to be of Davidic descent and the promised Messiah and their King. Other than that, and his small band of followers, Jesus was totally unknown. The response to his death is hardly a surprise.

In the world of mass communications, that a man who was venerated by millions and at least respected by millions more (including myself) is being mourned by probably one billion people, is scarcely a surprise either.

battig what was that dig about the "rich and powerful"? Are the rich and powerful people not allowed to show respect? Are all the hundreds and thousands, mabye a million people who have been paying personal respects at the lying in state, rich and powerful?

Did John Paul II mean nothing to the poor of the Third World, of Africa and South America? He meant so much to all those people, that the next pope is not unlikely to come from there.

Just imagine when the King of Kings comes? Personally, I bend my knee to no king.

We know how the Roman Catholic Church and the Christian World reacted when Pope John Paul 11's died, who represented Jesus and His Father on earth. Just imagine how the Roman Catholic Church and Christian Churches will react when The King returns to establish The Kingdom of God on earth.

For those that believe in the return of The King as written in Matthew 25:31-46, how is the Roman Catholic Church and all the other Christian Churches going to react to His Coming?

    What's your opinion?

    Peace be with you, Paul
