I have made this thread because i know many of you out there has BF and i just thought i would set up a thread so we can talk about it.

p.s. i would love to hear about who has killed who aswell

I once killed Dreamwalker and Spurious Monkey in a demo version of BF, which was pretty funny.

Battlefield pretty much rocks for anyone with a DSL or any other super-w00ty fast interweb connection (you'll need it for online gaming and downloading Mods). Excellent experience!

Whenever I play BF1942 I'm usually in the top 10 at the end of the game that we are playing. I'm getting better at it and am getting number 1 more often nowadays. I Get that gold star thingy when I do. I've even had 3 gold stars once, big deal, they change the maps so much that is hard to accomplish. I like Bocage, El Alimein, Midway (with the submarine), Iwo Jima and Tobruk the best. Husky, Anzino and Cassio are also pretty good maps and I enjoy them almost as much. My favorite is sniper but I get better scores with engineer when I lay mines all over.

The BF Vietnam isn't to bad but it doesn't have the same texturing or feel as does 1942 so I don't play it to much.

I change my name often when I go there so as not to be picked out as the "one" to go after. It is a good way to relax and enjoy a few hours of nonsense and frivolity.

i have Dc but some of my maps ore totally fucked, the files got corrupted somehow so i can only get halfway thru the campaigns.
anyone know where i can get new map files?

BFV is quite lame, doesnt have the effect of 1942, plus the guns are shite and tanks are near impossibxle unless you have one yourself(stupid realism)

im stuck on 56k at the moment but once i can slap together a POS satellite dish i shoud be able to get enough signal for broadband

i rock ot bot matches, its always like 10 to everyone else and 150 to me, yay for tank rampages and heavy MGs! but as always sniper is the mest fun and efficient, the shooting is slower but its more realistic

Until you get into competition games. The sniper then becomes almost pointless.

no, in competition games you can actually hide in bushes and snipe, whereas with bots they can see thru bushes

I can only assume you've never played comp then... or if you have, it must be for a rather low ranked clan. One of the toughest comps in the world is an american one, 8v8. In Australia, the GA comp runs 12v12. In either one, there are not enough players to justify having a sniper, and most of the best engys can outshoot snipers anyway with the rifle.

Stick to bot matches. Bots don't think.

just played DC version of berlin, american pigs started with 250 reinforcements, i killed 217 with a heavy MG setup on the riverbank, i picked them off as thay ran down the street in big crowds
