"Bugs send their messages using certain frequencies. They use different frequencies than computers or transmitters because otherwise we could pick them up.
We basically take very heavy gage transmitters and transmit in the megawatts to gigawatts on every frequency except for the ones our computers and radios use. For a device as small as a bug the amount of energy that the antennae recieves will heat it up so much eventually the processor will melt down and become a worthless piece of molten metal, hence the nickname "nuking" by counter surveillance personnel."-Zero said
