Disguised code in Drosnin's Bible code

I believe the anomalies in The Bible code, ie. the predicted assassination of Prime Minister Netanyahu
and the mismatch of gender between ' third ' and
'world war ' were signs indicating to look and think
deeply about the code itself, thought times six
as the code suggests. I believe the chapter and
verse locations of the skip sequence Bible code listed in
Michael Drosnin's book ' The Bible Code ' is part of the
Bible code itself.
This includes
- a direct conversion to Gregorian years by straight addition
of the chapter and verse numbers
eg. Exodus 19 : 12 to 1912 to 1912 AD

- a switch of chapter and verse numbers before addition
eg. Isaiah 65 : 18 to 1865 to 1865 AD

- other methods as well.

By following this through the questions / uncertainties that arise from the code after a first glance then
dissappear and a code that bluffs a third world war emerges.

' Prime Minister Netanyahu ' is encoded once, from Exodus 19 :12 to Deuteronomy 4 :47.

' 9th of Av is the day of the Third ' appears in the hidden text of Numbers 19 :12 with ' World War ' and the
ancient name for Jerusalem ' Ariel '.

I believe the words and positions of the skip sequence Bible code have been chosen with precision so that
the full code is much larger and of a different theme
than appears initially. The code links together like a chain. There is a contents list and summary at the end
of this post. There are words that are encoded more
than once, some are encoded three times in close proximity.

The name ' Bibi ' is in the code. Times six would round up the numbers to give ' Bibi ' three times. The word
'computer' appears six times in the plain text of the
Bible, hidden within the Hebrew word for ' thought '.

The position of the skip sequence code of ' Shoemaker-Levy ' is very interesting. ' Shoemaker-Levy ', the name
of the comet that struck Jupiter, is encoded starting at
Genesis 19 : 38 and ending at Genesis 38 : 19.

The chapter and verse numbers of the start of the encoding, when switched give the ending position
of the encoding, ie chapter and verse in reverse.
The first chapter number is half the numerical value
of the first verse number, this also highlights other
chapter and verse numbers that have a simple
numeric relationship. ' It was made by computer' is
encoded in Exodus 32 : 16 - 17. I believe the
Shoemaker-Levy code is telling us to switch some of the chapter and verse numbers before converting to a Gregorian year.

I thought your point about the code containing software programs was quite intriguing. Having taken a few perusals of that Bible Code book that <b>Daniel</b> makes reference to, I've often wondered what would happen should some of that 'order' be transliterated into some kind of a binary system that's recognizable as computer language. It seems entirely possible. I don't really care if some consider it bogus, it would still be rather interesting to see what might happen. Codes intrigue me, whether intentional or otherwise. Hopefully, you'll give us some more information rather than not discussing it further.

I have been installing and programming computer for almost 15 years, and frankly, I have no idea what you're talking about.

 

Drosnins book was the biggest piece of horseshit I have ever read. That book had no redeeming value, it was just a series of coincidences (sp.?) that can be found in the Hebrew translation of ANY book, paired with a bad story in which Drosnin tried to make himself the protaganist, when he was really nothing but a third party observer.

I agree with your point that Drosnin was nothing but a third party observer who sensationalized the findings of Torah scholars, mathematicians and computer scientists. Obviously he was riding on the coattails of others for the purpose of making a name for <i>himself</i>, as well as fattening his own bank account. This had the effect of cheapening the entire theory so that most people will dismiss it out of hand.

There are much better books than Drosnin's if one wants to examine more than just the hype behind the Torah codes. I've read several, but my personal favorite is "Cracking the Bible Code", by Jeffrey Satinover, M.D. Although I don't necessarily agree with all of the author's conclusions, I would still highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in further exploration of this subject (which I must admit that I find fascinating, myself).

It seems that with some, their first assertion becomes wholly a priori, and everyone reacting to that first assertion is actually enacting some inner madness manifest as hatred toward apparently simple ideas.

Our genetic make up limit our ability to foresee events that will happen in the next 2 or more generations. In another words, we generally don't care stuff that will happen for our grand grand children. Our mind is not designed to comprehend that kind of information/imagination. So the world war prediction should better be quick.

BTW, if by the date there is no WWIII, you could interpret it as "we prevented it because we knew it." If it happens, you could say "I told you." So the prediction is generally BS anyway.

from God. A Bible code that includes use of

Of the OS analogy, I'll leave out questions of firmware and networking. Those can come later, if necessary.

Rather, though, it seems that you're asserting that God's knowledge is so complete that he knew in advance what we would call a certain distance, and what that distance would be. An astronomical unit is a relevant, yet still arbitrary declaration of distance. For the Martian aphelion to be significant, there must therefore be a relation between actual distance and all the labels we've applied to those distances until we figured the distance from Sol to Terra and called it an AU.

I have no objection with something that has Perfect Knowledge having this particular knowledge. This is part of that perfection. But for God's mysterious ways to be so subtly intentional, and apparently so blatant that I'm surprised we need a Bible, much less a Bible code, to tell us these things, really does punch a hole in much of the modern theology and resultant faith constructions of Christianity, past or present.

Think about it: God knows full well what a certain distance is, and that humans will find it significant; furthermore, God devises his universe so that this distance will act as a theological signpost on the road to deliverance. And this is where I hit the curious contradictions of God.

In another post I mentioned those of faith who would suspend your civil rights at the ballot box in an act of Christian love, yet would walk by an outstretched, hungry hand on the street without a blink of conscience.

What's more important to God, then? That Mars is a signpost to redemption, or that we treat the least of our brethren--and therefore God itself--properly? It's a very exacting Universe, with much design effort, if one merely intends base, sloppy execution. The only hidden messages in the Bible would be carefully placed by Hebrew scribes in the OT; scholars--particularly mathematicians--would have located these by now because computers can calculate finite sums quickly enough.

And there's another issue with this Bible code: as I recall, there are 22 consonants with four final consonants in the Hebrew alphabet. How many characters are employed in the telling of the OT? How many prophetic words have been extracted? (W) What is that ratio, compared to the potential? (P) How many equations, permutations, algorithms, &c. can you lay over the text before you run out of combinations of words? (E) It would seem to me that you're running an exponential figure here that reflects W/P as a ratio related to E. I am, admittedly, having difficulty writing this equation. (I'm not sure all factors have been accounted yet.)

What I'm after here is that I'm not sure the extraction of anything but a coherent discourse from God will suffice to demonstrate the authenticity of what appears to be theological fancy. 26 letters repeated in a finite number of combinations, the total number of letters in the Old Testament, and the total number of equations you can ask a computer to scan by. If they pull a hundred-thousand suspect words from the Judaic Junior Jumble of OT codes, they still have achieved a minute fraction of the potential of the whole. Consider this: If I dump three cans of alphabet soup into a pot, stick my spoon in (for this probability can be described by much better mathematicians than I) and, in one spoonful, receive the word "Jesus", have I enjoyed a miracle or witnessed a demonstration of probability? What is the difference of probability, then, that I would pull out the five characters spelling, "Joint"? (Yes, I realize that you must account for one repeated letter; it changes the probability minutely compared to the greater illustration.)

If you extract "Jesus loves me" from textual code, you have achieved no greater miracle than if you extract "Xyznz amgyz jy". The probability of finding a string of relevant characters is exactly equal to the probability of finding a string of unintelligible nonsense; until you start tweaking the probability calculations and exscinding data in order to cause a favorable outcome.

I am always curious about those people of faith who dedicate their careers to being pseudo-scientists in order to achieve a measure of fame on behalf of a God they choose to disrespect by making such trivialities of the faith. The search for empowerment through Bible code is a desperate attempt to bolster the faithfuls' perspective of the credibility of their faith. Unfortunately, it's pointing out to the rest of the world just how anemic that credibility is.

And all that from the Martian aphelion. If science stumbles onto God, believe me, we'd all hear about it. If pseudo-science, seeking God, finds God, well, that's expected, and merely the fulfillment of a fantasy with greater fantasy.

I will, however, tell the next person that asks me for money on the street to take comfort, for Jesus says that the cure for AIDS is coming from Stavromula Beta.

You science background should tell you that 1.666AU is just a number that easy for normal human to remember. It's not the exact distance. And Mars orbit is not a perfect circle. How could you so sure that 1.666 is not 1.6661 or 1.666233512 or even 1.6658324?

 

I myself have also researched the bible code. I have the book and have pretty much read it. I also had the bible code on my computer at one stage, but couldn't really understand it,since I don't know ancient Hebrew.

I myself believe the bible code to be incorrect.

First of all, lets look at the obvious contradictions. Over ten times in the bible code it says Jesus is the messiah.
Also, it says, over ten times Jesus is not the messiah. In Drosnins book, he only states the code Jesus is the messiah. The truth can not contradict.

Now if Drosnin actually believed in the bible code, as according to his book he would be Christian. However, he is a new age. He basically used this code as stated before for his own pocket, not for the working of God's glory.

Also, Drosnin made a gamble with another person (I forget who) that if he could find these codes in Moby Dick he would concede that the bible code is not true. Guess what, Drosnin lost the bet. Even Moby Dick proclaims that Jesus is and is not the messiah.

The existance of a code can be examined scientifically.
The new work I have submitted needs to be analysied
scientifically. It would be bad science to predict the
outcome of that investigation by including views about
the nature of God or the apparent level of some believers'
understanding of the Christian philosophy.
If the code is there ( I believe it is ) then God thought
the reason for its existance was good enough. Maybe
the code exists because someone ( the encoder ) asked
for a code, " ask and you shall receive ".
The scientific verification of a much larger Bible code that
includes anagrams, puzzle clues, skip sequence code
within some of the skip sequence code and pointers to
code elsewhere would overshaddow the probability
debate about extraction of skip sequence code from the
Hebrew version of the Torah / Bible.

I believe we live in a universe with a built-in code,
ie the physical universe designed with the code
incorporated.
- Kepler's Laws
- Chemical elements ie. electronic configurations
the Periodic table
- radio frequencies

The distance between the Earth and the Sun
the number 92 ia a major number in The Code.

Michael Drosnin's book ' The Bible Code ' was published
in 1997. The discovery and verification this year of a
larger code which
- proves God exists
- proves Christianity is the true faith
- and more
would be of great benefit to the human race making the
World a more caring place and hopefully helping people
before they become homeless or in despair.

Many people have not been brought up with Christianity
and for them a 100% verified code would help them.

At present I am working full-time on the code, I am in a
financial position to do this. I do not charge and do not
intend to charge for my work. I have nearly completed
a book about life-skills which I intend to make available
free-of-charge. This book may bring some fame or
attention so I am in the position that I am probably
delaying fame for the Bible code. If the code is there
( and I believe it is ) how can looking for the code be
disrespectful to God.

The internet may be the first place that someone who
has found something places their work. The time
between this and professional codebreakers evaluating
the work could be dependent on the initial readers of
that work. So if anyone reading this wishes to draw

God knows the future. God knows possible
knock-on effects on the future. There is a concept
of time that we do not understand yet. God knows
the detail of what we see as the future as if it has
already happened.
God knew which number would be used.
As long as the number works as a marker that
is what matters, whether there are digits after
the number 666 or even if the number had to be
rounded up does not stop it working as a marker.
Generally code for a computer needs to be precise.
A code that transmits information to people just
needs to do that job, sometimes it does not have to
be precise or pretty.

Michael Drosnin did not consider God may have put
code in the book ' Moby Dick ' . The writer of Moby Dick
working under God's influence. Michael Drosnin is a
reporter not a scientist. Some of what he may say may
not be accurate but that would not mean the code in
his book is not. Don't be put off easily there may
be good reasons to keep people guessing.
Have you ever considered that the encoder is also
a wind-up artist? I am working on line so may give a
fuller reply later.

I submitted a thread called ' Joseph the encoder '
started 7th March 2001. I stand by everything I wrote
in those posts. Please try to take apart the theory if
you can.
