Does anyone out there have freewill. I may wish to walk on the ceiling, but the laws of physics will not allow it. Thus we can not do what we will we can only do what the laws of physics allow. What kind of freewill is that?
But you can dream about walking on the ceilings... Freewill is not so much your ability to do something, but that you actually have a choice in doing something.
As far as the real world goes, you can only do what the laws of physics allows you to do, so you may not have as much freewill as you think. :m:
As always, it depends how you define "free will". If you insist that free will requires breaking the laws of physics, then nobody will disagree with your statement that nobody has free will. It's obvious. On the other hand, if you define free will as the ability to make certain apparently unencumbered choices, then you have an argument on your hands.
Well assuming time travel is within the laws of physics then free will is 100% certain. If time travel is not possible in any shape or form,then NO free will is just based on previous events,so while you feel free to do what you want now once its been done it cannot be undone,so from your point of view your future situations are based on your past ones,you can make choices but many are thermodynamically impossible to reverse,some of which you had no choice but to do,like living which is a thermodynamic process,once you were born youre pushed into the thermodynamic second law which you had no choice about,now the future is just based on that.
