How Prophetic
This is definitely one of my more favorite Onion Articles. I remember reading it a long time ago and wasn't sure that it would come true. But, then again, all I have to do is watch the news for ten minutes and there it is. I wonder, how easy was it to predict?Bush swore to do "everything in [his] power" to undo the damage wrought by Clinton's two terms in office, including selling off the national parks to developers, going into massive debt to develop expensive and impractical weapons technologies, and passing sweeping budget cuts that drive the mentally ill out of hospitals and onto the street.
During the 40-minute speech, Bush also promised to bring an end to the severe war drought that plagued the nation under Clinton, assuring citizens that the U.S. will engage in at least one Gulf War-level armed conflict in the next four years.

hehn. funny. i rather liked clinton. was able to stay in power despite all the controversy. let's face it, under clinton, the US economy blossomed--- i mean really blossomed. i liked the guy...was direct, not like simpering little bush. atleast he won his election fair and square.

29 felony convictions thanks to the Regan administration, one from Clintons. Which rather proves the point that the US democratic system seems to be all about picking the lesser of two evils...

You probably should warn people that the Onion is a satirical publication, so I'll post that for you. Otherwise people might think Bush really said that & will start quoting it as such. It is funny, sort ofOriginally posted by Pollux V
