I hate English people

There was a time I hated French...
Then there was a time I hated American.
Now I hate English... I kind of really doubt this is going to change.
These people are the most boring, conservative people you could know.
I live in London. There are a lot of foreign people here. It seems to me, the only thing that keeps me here are these foreign people.
I go out (a lot - every night). I only see a few people who actually dance in a club. I try to talk to them - and guess what - they are from another country. English people don't dance.
Of course that would be a lame excuse to hate some countries people.. But there are other things - licensing laws (clubs can only stay open till 03.00), study laws (you have to stay 3 years to study in university, despite of your status), crappy student support (an unemployed person gets more money than a student), other things (I forgot now)...

Of course, this is a generalization. I have met a (very) few decent English people.

OK, so you don't like English people, you don't like the terms of study and its support in university, and generally speaking you don't like England at all by the sound of it. So, why are you here at all.

I have heard this many times, foreingers come to England and complain about the country and its people. Well if you don't like it here, go somewhere else, no one is stopping you.

BTW, why do you think you have the right to be given money so you can study?

Hey, the English has one of the neatest cultures in the world. Most others have weird ass 12th century style lifestyles and little modern influence. Yay for modern society!

Hello Ndrs,

As is the case nearly everywhere, I'm sure there are awful places and awful people in the UK. But a few years ago I walked clear across England; from the Irish sea to the North Sea. I found the countryside gorgeous, the people intelligent and friendly, and I still think about the beer.

Ndrs, perhaps some of your bad experience has to do with living in a city? You might think about getting into the country when the weather is warmer. I can't imagine that you wouldn't like the Lake District or Yorkshire.

BTW, many of my favorite contemporary philosophers come from the UK: Simon Blackburn, A.C. Grayling, Derek Parfit and Ramond Tallis.

Oh yes, I don't agree with any of your poll options.

OK. NDRS Lets go for gold here. You know what really winds me up. It's the fact that immigrants (illegal or not) come to England and demand:

"Me want free house",
"Me want free medical care",
"Me want free education"
"Me want free handout money from the government"

And the irony is THEY GET IT. Then they complain that they don't like England and it's people

My Great Grandfathers fought and died for this country in two world wars, they fought and died for the freedom of this country and for the freedom of their future generations.

They did NOT fight and give their lives for immigrants to come to England and to reap the benefits.

The "culture" where I live is just...annoying and shallow. The people here get on my nerves. I haven't like England since I moved here when I was four.

I want out!!

The only thing I like about this place are two beaches, Hayling and Poole. That's it.

Moved to England in '89 and I've been here since

I would if I could, I am still in full time education (college) and all of my family (except a few who live in Canada and the US) live here. Finishing education (Uni) then I'm buggering off. Isthat ok with you?

The history books tell us that we were last invaded in 1066, this is not quite true as we have been gradually invaded since the 1960's. The immigrants have been more succesful than Hitler in taking this country.
I get annoyed when I here disrespectful remarks from these people about our country, but yet they accept the governments handouts eagerly. Hypocritical scavengers no less.

I think my intellect doesn't do my intellect any justice. I just don't like the people here, I live in an area which is like....sooo annoying. My friend calls them 'Sharon's and Wayne's'.
