Mind Equals Reality Principle (M=R) asserts that mind and reality are ultimately inseparable to the extent that they share common rules of structure and processing..

    Reality is One.

Reality is transcendental. \(\sqrt{\pi} \approx 1.772453850905516027298167483341145182797549456122387128213807...\) therefore Russ_Watters is 3 times more correct than Spellbound.

Incorrect. Meta-Reality links reality and mind whereas normally they appear separate. It can be thought of as a higher dimension.

But reality and mind are one and one and one and one is two.

Animal instinct might be an example of what you call meta-reality. An animal's instincts help to direct the animal's attention toward those specific aspects of reality appropriate to their instincts. For example, the attention of the cow is instinctively directed toward eating the grass, since this food is programmed into its instinct. The cow is much less aware of the sheep, nearby, even if they are also food items. Sheep as possible food items are not part of the cow's instinctive programming. The internal wired reality, defined by its instincts, impacts how it perceives the external reality around it. It would still see the sheep, but in another context, such a fellow grazers.

The wolf has different instincts and will not notice the grass in the same way, as did the cow or sheep. On the other hand, it will see the sheep in a much different context, being more of a food item instead of fellow grazer. They could never agree on the best food.

With respect to humans, females often have the shopping gene, so to speak, with the glitter of jewry especially appealing. This affinity is connected to human nature and the personality firmware found within humans. Animals don't notice trinkets in the same way as humans.

Even among humans the same witnessed events will be seen in many ways, based on what one meta-sees as important. The female may notice the Italian shoes, while the man may notice the callus on the hand; selective reality perception. Debates between political parties involve partial perception of reality by each party, making it easier to deny the truth in the other POV; it can't be seen.

As a visual, picture a movie shining from your hat (internal program projection) overlaying reality. Where reality is most meta-illuminated, is where our conscious mind will look first. This becomes our meta-reality.

Are you claiming that animal instincts are a single combined reality as is the meta-reality?

Not entirely, as far as i understood.

Reality and mind have no discernable boundary whatsoever.
Elaborate this meta-reality of yours please.

Based on what Langan is saying, there exists an apparent separation between mind and reality on the surface, and because of this apparent separation, it is an illusion because reality can be only one. Hence, the meta-reality links the two.

Langan's diagram is truly genius. It illustrates how the separation between mind and reality is illusory.

The Concept of a Meta Reality

Taken from Wikipedia, a useful historical basis for the prefix, Meta, is as follows. "Meta- (from Greek: μετά = "after", "beyond", "adjacent", "self"), is a prefix used in English (and other Greek-owing languages) to indicate a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter."

This covers our use of the prefix here in the concept of a Meta Reality. The My Big TOE conception of Reality is the Larger Consciousness System, the LCS which is also metaphorically referred to in its present state of development as AUM. Here we take this concept of a Meta Reality to consist of a Reality which while existing within the Reality of AUM/the LCS, also can be considered to exist after, as in the sense of because of, beyond as being in a sense removed from and existing on and adjacent as existing in parallel within AUM/the LCS. Within this Meta Reality, Absolute Free Will is available to the participating entities within that Meta Reality.

If reality is one, and if mind equals reality, then wouldn't that imply that mind is one?

But you believe that Christopher Langan is a philosophical prophet, somebody who channels the Truth, while I think that he's little more than a crank, possibly somebody with psychiatric difficulties. (His writing style and personal grandiosity suggest the manic phase of bipolar disorder.)

How is this difference in our thinking even possible when our minds are supposedly One?

The differences in our thinking would seem to suggest that our minds are two. And if that's true for us, then it would arguably be true for all sentient beings as well. So mind would arguably seem to be multiple. If for the sake of argument we accept that mind equals reality (a proposition that I think is false, btw), then reality would seem to be multiple as well.

I don't really understand what the phrase 'Reality is One' means. It is certainly portentious and paradoxical sounding, like something the oracle might have uttered at Delphi. It looks less like a philosophical proposition than it does an expression of some kind of fundamental religious intuition.

Indeed. Mind is One as is reality otherwise we would be perceiving and communicating disjointedly or without any common ground.

I cannot speak on behalf of Langan's mental state but his theories measure up against my metaphysical probability scale quite nicely.

One explanation is that although minds are one, intelligence and upbringing causes us to see things differently and have different thoughts.

Reality is One means that we share but one objective, and even subjective, reality since we are linked by it and therefore do not perceive multiple realities. We are able to come to agreements on what is real and what is not. And since reality is One, meta-reality is reality.

and it could be argued that the main reason for this dualism is to that we can egoistically differentiate our individual identity from the identity of the greater reality.
[aka : separation from God. Separation from the universal collective super ego etc]

I suspect that chris is being a tad optimistic concerning the minds of his fellow human beings.

The diagram illustrates how the mind is also a reality, M=R. He makes no distinction between the two.

From what I've seen, most folks seem to live in a construct that echoes reality while loosing many of the pitches. 'Tis but a penumbra of reality masquerading as something comprehensible, buffered by the shadow constructs of language.

    .....
but, then again, Chris may be seeing something that I ain't.
