It's been a long absence but I thought I'd drop by and see if I can annoy people once again. So hello to all of you old friends. Hope you are well and we can have some interesting discussions once again. ~Raithere Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Another boomerang! I can give you a list of people to annoy if you like. There's this guy called S... Oh, never mind.
Only More So Dude, welcome back. Things have changed enough around here to seem pretty much the same, only more so. Have fun.
Thanks, I'm seeing quite a few old faces around here and some interesting new posters as well. Glad to find you're still here.
I remember you as being a very intelligent person. Even a dullard like myself was able to tell that things have changed quite a bit recently after reading just a few threads in that forum. But, I'm sure you'll be fine.
I remember you as well and you're certainly no dullard. We'll have to close ranks and clear the field Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Don't think I've had the pleasure of your acquaintance, Raithere, but that last remark says it all. The cranks have descended like flies.
These Are the Days of Our ... er ... um ... right. It's a soap opera. Basically, the "Religion" subforum has degraded into an "Atheist Supremacy" subforum. The atheists you and I used to account for in discussions are essentially gone. You know, those who didn't believe in God but actually found it worthwhile to have a clue what they were talking about when they were evangelizing against religion? Yeah. It's essentially become a supremacist's club, with no respect for civil institutions. They have become what they once hated. The convenient thing, of course, is that they're different people. So we shouldn't hold "atheism" responsible for their idiocy. Meanwhile, we should hold "religion" responsible for other people's stupidity. Yeah. That's about what the Religion subforum has come to. By design, sadly.
Well atheism doesn't have a doctrine where religions actively advocate against other beliefs. But it is interesting that people follow the same patterns regardless. Perhaps the specifics of the belief/doctrine isn't the problem. This is just what people do.
Sorry, where are my manners... Welcome back Raithere. You stopped posting, a few months after I landed here. Sure is a bit different around the place eh?
Thanks! Quite a few 'new' people and some of the old faces too. The discussions seem pretty familiar though.
