Israel has a powerful lobby, the American people are largely more in favor of Israel than they are of the surrounding muslims, its more in America's interest to have a western presence in the region.

Oh you mean the propaganda, well yes there are many Americans who are overwhelmed by that, its partly the fault of the media but mostly the fault of the education system. If you were raised in the Soviet Union (which I doubt) you know that no matter what was going on most Russians didn't believe a word that came out of their media venues, they knew what they were getting was a grain of truth mixed with a lot of propaganda served with no olive. Americans actually believe they have a free and unbiased press so they believe that they get the whole truth and not just a slant, they are much easier to manipulate.

I don't consider Israel a terrorist state. If Israel is a terrorist state then most states are terrorist states.
