Turns out we're all having sex with our cousins
Are you dating a fellow American of a similar ethnic background? And do you find that from some angles they appear to have your nose? That's because she's your cousin, silly. A new video on YouTube explains how there's a one-in-five chance that you and your significant other share a common family member who bumped uglies with another of your ancestors as recently as 10 generations ago. In fact, you are -- at the most distant -- the 50th cousin of every person on the entire planet. This is owing to the fact that around 2,500 years ago, there was a person alive who is related to everyone living today. Could be time to learn the banjo. Or meet an alien.

So, we're all related? How is this news? Of course we're all related. It doesn't matter if you embrace the truth of evolution, or if you are a crackpot creationist. It's a given in both cases.

Yes, and as I recall we all share common ancestry with an annelid.

I will add that if Adam an Eve. Existed in some way. My wife would be well beyond my 50th cousin..

If you do the math, sorry, I can't because I proudly suffer from dyscalculia, you will see that if you have European ancestors since King Edward the Third's time, and of course earlier like your Vikings, mathematical probability dictates that allof us Europeans are closely related. For example, even though I am quite sure I am not English, some of Edward III's spawn must have 'shared fluids' with some of my honest Franco-German Alsatian stock. There are millions of them, so it is unlikely that Edward's offspring, and my (and your) ancestors haven't cross-fertilized at some point.
See you at the family reunion, cuz.

This guy makes no sense to me, he seems obsessed with incest!
There's no biological way that everyone in the planet is related, because if they were there'd be genetic damage to their DNA. Don't come on here trying to convince me of lies.
