Thread: Do atoms have consciousness?

    Do atoms have consciousness?

Atoms are alive they move about, they can attract and they can repel but many scientists still claim they are lifeless and have no degree of consciousness.

Well my opinion is that they do have consciousness. Any thoughts on this?

    Provide proof that they do.

So "consciousness = moving, attracting and repelling"?

Yes, please provide proof, but of course it's pointless trying to prove something if you don't agree on the definition, so first define what you mean by consciousness. If you define it as above, then yes, according to your definition, atoms have consciousness, and according to most other people's definition, they don't.

"Move about" is meaningless. Where do you get this from?
The motion of atoms is derived from external causes.
Can you explain how atoms move - why they move?
they can attract and they can repel
Do neon atoms attract and repel? Why or why not?
Explain attraction and repulsion in atoms.
    but many scientists still claim
    Claim or know?
they are lifeless and have no degree of consciousness.
So motion imparts life and consciousness?
By your definition, a truck going down the road is alive and conscious.
Well my opinion is that they do have consciousness. Any thoughts on this?
Yes. Read a little chemistry, a little physics, take two aspirin, and call me in the morning.

You are quite clearly either delusional or trolling. I suggest you think very carefully about how moronic your question is before posting it in physics and maths again.
