Where exactly did I admit fault in your warning?

Even if you had been banned for trolling previously, it does not make the warning you received from me null and void. In fact, what it tells me is that you should have known better and thus, the warning is even more valid.

All we wanted was confirmation, by PM, that you were separate people and not a sockpuppet. It was why I requested someone ask you both first because I was the one who noticed a couple of days ago that you had the same IP address. It was either a case of you post from the same IP (ie same building, residence, work, as one moderator noted as well, library, etc) or you were a sockpuppet. I can usually spot a sock because their posting style is virtually identical and while the two of you do post in the same threads, you post in a more coherent manner and aren't prone to large blocks of bold text and capital letters. Things like that kind of stand out.

So it isn't necessary to send anyone your phone number. A PM saying we work, live in same building, etc, would have been more than sufficient.

Very well, I appreciate that and I sent the required pm, without resistance and offered all the evidences to James R as soon as I saw his PM. I only felt it necessary to post it publicly what I offered, so that anyone who's suspicions were aroused by the mention of our IP addresses being similar, would be assured that you're not banning me as a sock puppet was a decision based on confidence that I was not a sock puppet rather than incompetence. I personally would not take someone's word that they were not a sock puppet. How often do people confess to that when you ask? (that was a rhetorical question). I have always thought, if it walks like a duck and it talks like a duck it is most likely a duck, but there is a slight chance that it is a deformed goose. So further proof would not bother me or seem unreasonable. So I offered it. And it still stands if you change your mind.

ETA: I also explained that my lack of participation in this discussion is due to a sudden change at my job. A co-worker is no more and new management has come in, I have been asked to act as an adviser in the transition so not only am I covering shifts I am having to help overhaul a system that was failing due to poor management and train new staff. And no I was not part of the prior management if you are wondering. Nor am I part of interim or incoming management. I am hoping things will settle down by Monday evening at that time I will attempt to pick this up. So please do not interpret my silence as complacency.

Perhaps if you had contributed something substantial to the thread with that post, I would be sympathetic. Given all else, you should thank her for not sending you on a weeklong vacation.

If not, that's fine, I understand. But this thread is already verging on uselessness. I don't see how wasting the discussion on your complaint is going to help it any.

I get a warning for posting a comment of how Muhammed was pretty much the biggest jackass of all time. At the same sime, another man has a thread discussing how you know... Hitler wasn't all that bad. In another thread are people discussing the holocaust as if it never happened. Yet I get warned for saying a man who wrote a book encouraging curtailments of women's freedom was a son of a bitch?

Chipz has been banned for 3 days for spamming somebody's personal visitor page after several requests from that member asking him to stop.

I can see a pattern of behaviour developing here. It does not bode well for Chipz's continuation as a sciforums member.

I urge Chipz to consider toning down the schoolboy antics and and the attention seeking behaviour.

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I just couldn't pass this by without making a comment . . . .

I've seen this Neverfly character before, on an Astronomy forum where he was banned for almost the same exact things he is doing here on this forum. He was being a cyber-bully on that forum and was always complaining about being persecuted by the Moderator staff, who, in my opinion, were very tolerant of his paranoia. He needs to get professional help but of course he won't do that, for in his mind he never does anything wrong. So maybe one day he'll take a long hard look at himself in a mirror and realize that maybe he is the one at fault.
